Role Description The Geographic Information System (GIS) Specialist is a full-time, in office role based in Ahmedabad. This role involves collecting, processing, and maintaining geospatial data related to commercial properties and land listings on the Zoning platform. The GIS Specialist will create and update maps, perform spatial analysis, and support location-based decision-making for internal teams and clients.

Daily tasks include working with GIS software, validating data accuracy, integrating spatial data with Zoning’s systems,



and preparing visual outputs and reports. The specialist will collaborate with product, operations, and real estate teams to ensure that geospatial information effectively supports market analysis, site selection, and investment planning.

Qualifications

- Strong Analytical Skills to interpret spatial patterns, evaluate property-related data, and support data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools and technologies for mapping, analysis, and visualization.
- Experience with Data Management and handling Geospatial Data, including collection, cleaning, integration, and storage.
- Ability to design, produce, and maintain digital Maps that communicate complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Geomatics, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with real estate or urban development data is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Ahmedabad and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
