POSITION - GDA SUPERVISOR - NIGHT SHIFT

EXP - 1 - 3 YRS

IMMEDIATE JOINER WILL BE PREFERRED To supervise, coordinate, and monitor GDA staff to ensure adequate manpower deployment, discipline, timely patient-care support, cleanliness, safe patient movement, and compliance with hospital policies and SOPs.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESA. GDA Deployment & Manpower Management

- Ensure appropriate deployment of GDAs according to patient occupancy and departmental requirements.
- Monitor GDA availability in every shift and immediately report manpower shortages.
- Coordinate staff Pull-In / Pull-Out strictly through the prescribed hierarchy.
- Ensure Pull-In/Pull-Out requirements are communicated before commencement of the next shift, wherever possible, so that replacement or double-duty arrangements can be made on time.
- Ensure proper handover whenever a GDA is moved from one department/unit to another.
- Avoid unnecessary movement of staff that may affect patient care.

B. Attendance & Duty Compliance

- Monitor daily attendance and punctuality of all GDAs.
- Ensure staff follow the approved duty roster.
- Ensure proper In/Out punching in the attendance system.
- Ensure missing punches are rectified through the prescribed attendance regularization process.
- Monitor completion of assigned duty hours.
- Report unauthorized absence, late reporting, early leaving, or incomplete duty hours to the Nursing In-Charge.




- Ensure staff do not leave their assigned duty area without proper permission.

C. Patient Care Support

- Ensure timely assistance to nursing staff for patient shifting, transfer, admission, discharge, investigation, and procedures.
- Ensure protected transportation of patients through wheelchairs, stretchers, and trolleys.
- Ensure patients are handled respectfully and safely.
- Respond promptly to patient-care requirements communicated by nursing staff.
- Ensure adequate GDA support during peak patient-care requirements.

D. Discipline & Supervision

- Conduct regular rounds of assigned areas and monitor GDA performance.
- Ensure GDAs remain at their assigned duty locations during duty hours.
- Prevent sleeping during duty, unnecessary sitting, gathering, mobile-phone misuse, or negligence of assigned duties.
- Ensure proper uniform, ID card, grooming, and professional conduct.
- Report misconduct, negligence, or repeated violations immediately to the Nursing In-Charge.
- Ensure GDAs communicate respectfully with patients, attendants, doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff.

E. Shift Handover

- Ensure proper handover between outgoing and incoming GDA staff.
- Ensure pending patient transfers, admissions, discharges, investigations, and special requirements are communicated during handover.
- Ensure no patient-care responsibility remains unattended during shift change.

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
