Job Profile – Early Years Teacher | IB School (Kindergarten) Position: Early Years Teacher – Kindergarten Department: Early Years / Kindergarten Curriculum: International Baccalaureate (IB) Reports To: Early Years Coordinator / Head of School Job Purpose To create a nurturing, stimulating and inquiry-rich learning environment that supports the holistic development of young learners.

The Early Years

Teacher will facilitate play-based and concept-driven learning in alignment with IB Early Years principles, encouraging curiosity, independence, creativity and social-emotional development.

Key Responsibilities Plan and facilitate age-appropriate, play-based and inquiry-based learning experiences for Kindergarten students. Develop engaging learning experiences around concepts, themes and real-world connections . Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, physical and language development .

Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom setting that encourages exploration and independent learning . Observe students closely and use observations to understand their interests, strengths and learning needs. Document and assess student learning through observations, portfolios, learning stories and other age-appropriate assessment methods .

Encourage students to develop communication, collaboration, creativity, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills . Integrate stories, art, music, movement, sensory activities, outdoor learning and hands-on experiences into classroom practice.



Foster the development of IB Learner Profile attributes and age-appropriate approaches to learning.

Differentiate learning experiences to address diverse learning needs and abilities . Maintain regular and constructive communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and development. Collaborate with the Early Years Coordinator, teachers, learning support staff and other stakeholders .

Maintain appropriate classroom records, student documentation and assessment evidence. Participate in school events, assemblies, professional development, curriculum planning and collaborative meetings . Promote positive behaviour through respectful, child-centred and restorative approaches .

Ensure compliance with school policies, safeguarding procedures and IB expectations.

Qualifications &

Experience ~ Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Psychology or a relevant discipline. ~ B.Ed./ECCE/Montessori/Nursery Teacher Training or equivalent qualification preferred. ~2–5 years of relevant experience in Kindergarten / Early Years education, preferably in an international or IB school. ~ Knowledge of inquiry-based, play-based and child-centred pedagogy . ~ Strong English communication and interpersonal skills. ~ Ability to use digital tools and technology to enhance learning. ~ A caring, creative, patient and reflective approach towards young learners. Others - Full Time Job, 8 Hrs per day, 02 Days extended hour. Time:7.30am onwards
