About the Role

We are looking for a Software Developer / Full Stack Developer with strong backend development expertise and working knowledge of frontend technologies.

This is a primarily backend-focused role, with approximately 70–80% of the work involving backend development, enhancement of existing applications, ticket-based changes, troubleshooting, and application support. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Java-based backend development and be able to contribute to frontend development when required.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

- Develop, enhance, and maintain software applications in accordance with business and user requirements.
- Analyse existing systems, application flows, data usage, business processes, and problem areas to identify appropriate technical solutions.
- Work extensively with existing backend codebases and implement ticket-based changes.
- Develop and maintain backend solutions using Java 8, Spring MVC, Hibernate, SQL, Maven, and JUnit.
- Analyse requirements, define solutions, and evaluate the operational feasibility of proposed changes.
- Troubleshoot application issues and implement appropriate technical resolutions.
- Support application deployment and maintenance activities on Tomcat 9.

Software Development Lifecycle

- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution development, coding, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
- Define system specifications, programming requirements, and technical standards for assigned solutions.
- Prepare and implement software solutions based on agreed requirements.
- Conduct unit testing and support functional and integration testing activities.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to established development practices.




- Support issue resolution and application stabilisation activities.

Frontend Development

- Contribute to frontend development and UI enhancements when required.
- Work with Angular 8, TypeScript 3.5, RxJS Store, and PrimeNG for assigned frontend activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve UI-related issues as required.
- Collaborate across backend and frontend components to support end-to-end application functionality.

Documentation & Technical Support

- Document technical solutions through appropriate documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and code comments.
- Maintain clear, structured, and understandable code.
- Analyse and document development and application-service issues.
- Collect, analyse, and summarise technical information to support issue resolution and application improvements.
- Maintain confidentiality of application and business information.

Deployment, Automation & CI/CD

- Support CI/CD and application deployment activities.
- Work with Jenkins for applicable automation and deployment activities.
- Support automation testing using Cypress.
- Participate in live server deployment activities where applicable.
- Support application testing, release, and deployment processes.

Process Improvement & Stakeholder Coordination

- Analyse existing systems and processes and recommend improvements where appropriate.
- Identify opportunities to improve application functionality, operational efficiency, and development processes.
- Coordinate with vendors or internal stakeholders when software or product evaluation, purchase recommendations,



or approvals are required.
- Continuously enhance technical knowledge through modern development tools, programming techniques, and professional learning.

Required Technical Skills

- 5–8 years of relevant software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in Java 8 backend development.
- Strong knowledge of Spring MVC.
- Experience with Hibernate.
- Solid working knowledge of SQL.
- Experience with Maven.
- Experience with JUnit and software testing.
- Experience working with existing enterprise application codebases.
- Experience with Tomcat 9 or similar application-server environments.
- Ability to analyse tickets, understand requirements, implement changes, and troubleshoot issues independently.
- Working knowledge of frontend development using:
- Angular 8
- TypeScript 3.5
- RxJS Store
- PrimeNG
- Exposure to Jenkins, Cypress, CI/CD, and deployment processes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Strong backend developer with working knowledge of UI/frontend technologies.
- Comfortable working on and understanding established application codebases.
- Able to independently analyse development tickets and translate them into technical solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Able to take ownership of assigned development activities from analysis through implementation.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle and application support.
- Strong documentation and code-quality orientation.
- Good collaboration skills when working with internal teams and external vendors.
- Willingness to continuously learn and adopt relevant development tools and technologies.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline preferred.
