What You’ll Get

This is not a dummy project or practice assignment.

You will contribute directly to production-oriented products being developed for use by law enforcement agencies across India, including:

InvestiGate — VFRA’s investigation platform

TTI (Telegram Threat Intelligence) — our threat-intelligence platform focused on intelligence gathering and analysis from Telegram

You will work on actual product features, interfaces, APIs, databases, integrations, debugging, testing and deployment alongside the core team.

Because you may have access to proprietary technology, product architecture and sensitive project information, selected candidates will be required to sign an NDA before receiving access to internal systems and repositories.

What You’ll Work On

- Build and improve features across VFRA’s flagship products
- Develop responsive and functional front-end interfaces using React
- Build and integrate backend services and REST APIs
- Work with SQL databases, schemas, queries and data models
- Connect frontend components with backend APIs and databases
- Debug and optimise existing product functionality
- Implement authentication, authorisation and role-based access where required




- Work with structured and unstructured data used by investigation platforms
- Participate in code reviews, testing and technical discussions
- Use Git/GitHub for version control, branches, pull requests and collaboration
- Document features, APIs and important technical decisions
- Assist with deployment, monitoring and resolving production issues
- Experiment with AI-assisted development workflows to improve development speed without compromising code quality
- Work closely with the founding team to convert real operational requirements into usable product features

Technical Skills We’re Looking For

Frontend

- React.js
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- HTML5 and CSS3
- Responsive UI development
- REST API integration
- Familiarity with modern React concepts such as hooks, state management and reusable components

Backend

Experience with at least one backend ecosystem such as:
- Node.js / Express.js
- Python / FastAPI / Flask / Django
- REST API development
- Authentication and authorisation
- Server-side debugging and error handling

Database

- SQL
- PostgreSQL / MySQL or similar relational databases
- Database schema design
- Joins, queries and data manipulation
- Basic understanding of indexing and query optimisation

Development and Collaboration

- Git and GitHub
- Branching, commits, pull requests and code reviews
- Basic understanding of Linux/command-line environments
- API testing tools such as Postman
- Debugging and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of application security and secure coding practices

AI-Assisted Development

We are comfortable with developers using modern AI coding tools, provided you understand,



review and take responsibility for the code you ship.

Familiarity with tools and workflows such as Codex, Claude Code or similar AI-assisted development environments is an advantage.

We are particularly interested in candidates who know how to use AI to:

- Rapidly prototype features
- Understand unfamiliar codebases
- Debug issues
- Generate and improve tests
- Refactor code
- Research implementation approaches
- Accelerate repetitive development work

Copy-pasting AI-generated code without understanding it is not what we are looking for.

Who Should Apply?

We are open to students, freshers and self-taught developers.

Your degree matters less than whether you can actually build things.

You should ideally have

- Built at least one functioning web application
- Worked with React and APIs
- Written backend code
- Worked with an SQL database
- Used GitHub for your projects
- The ability to read an existing codebase and figure things out independently
- Strong debugging and problem-solving ability
- An interest in cybersecurity, digital forensics, intelligence platforms or GovTech A strong GitHub profile, deployed project, hackathon project or personal product will carry significant weight.

You will get the opportunity to work directly on real deep-tech products rather than isolated internship assignments.

You’ll experience how products are designed, built, debugged and iterated in an early-stage startup environment while working closely with the people building the company.

Candidates who demonstrate exceptional technical ability, ownership, reliability and contribution during the three-month internship may be considered for a PPO/paid opportunity, depending on performance and company requirements.
