Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–6:00 PM U.S. Central Time

About the Roleitdesks.co is looking for a developer to support our existing development team and work across multiple company and client projects.

You will initially work heavily on our Southwest Farmer Market platform, including POS, warehouse, inventory, website, APIs, database, and hardware integrations. You may also be assigned to other websites, applications, APIs, or software projects managed by itdesks.co.

The developer must be capable of learning existing codebases, developing recent features, fixing bugs, testing changes made by other developers, and eventually handling development tasks independently when required.

Technical RequirementsCandidates should have experience with:

- PHP / Laravel
- PostgreSQL / SQL
- Node.js
- REST APIs
- JavaScript
- HTML / CSS / Bootstrap
- Git / GitHub
- Postman or API testing tools
- Database design and debugging
- Third-party API integrations
- Unit, functional and regression testing

Experience with POS, inventory, payment systems, hardware integrations, webhooks, queues, or Windows/local server applications is a plus. Our Southwest project also includes:
- Ingenico and PAX A35 payment terminals
- Elavon CWS
- Barcode scanners
- Weighing scales
- Receipt printers
- Cash drawers
- Serial/COM and USB/HID integrations

You are not required to already know every hardware integration,



but you must be able and willing to learn them. Responsibilities
- Develop new features and functionality
- Maintain and modify existing applications
- Work on Laravel, PostgreSQL and Node.js systems
- Develop and troubleshoot APIs
- Fix bugs and production issues
- Review and understand existing developer code
- Test changes completed by other developers
- Perform unit, functional, integration and regression testing
- Verify features before they are considered complete
- Troubleshoot database, application and integration issues
- Work on Southwest Farmer Market and other itdesks.co projects as assigned
- Communicate progress, issues and technical requirements clearly with the team

Requirements
- Must be able to speak and understand English verbally
- Must be able to communicate with U.S.-based management and team members
- Must have your own reliable PC/laptop
- Must have a stable high-speed internet connection
- Must be online, active and reachable throughout working hours
- Must be available for calls and team meetings during the assigned shift
- Must be able to work independently when required
- Must be willing to learn new technologies and existing codebases
- Must properly test work before marking tasks complete

Working HoursMonday–Friday 8:30 AM–6:00 PM U.S. Central Time

Candidates in India must be comfortable working evening/night hours.

Being online and available during the full working schedule is required.
