Fresher Architectural / Structural Engineer – Technical Coordinator Trainee

We are looking for an ambitious Fresher Architectural Engineer or Structural Engineer who wants to develop beyond drafting and calculations into a technical coordination and leadership role.

We work on residential and commercial projects in South America, primarily in Suriname and Guyana.

This position is designed for someone who wants to build broad practical experience in architecture, structural engineering, construction documentation, client communication, project coordination and quality control.

This is not intended to be only a drafting position.

The successful candidate will gradually become responsible for checking work, coordinating freelancers and team members, communicating with clients and helping ensure that projects are technically correct before they move to the next stage.

What You Will Work On

Our projects typically include

- Residential and small commercial building design
- Floorplans and space planning
- Permit drawings
- Detailed construction drawings
- Architectural detailing
- BOQ and construction documentation
- Labour and construction time estimates
- Exterior and interior renders
- Concrete structural calculations
- Steel structural calculations
- Basic structural modelling
- Client requirement meetings
- Technical feasibility checking
- Coordination with architects, engineers, draftsmen and local representatives
- Quality control before drawings or calculations are submitted

Your Responsibilities

During the trainee period, you will gradually learn to:

- Review client requirements before drafting begins
- Identify unrealistic or technically difficult requests early
- Help develop practical floorplan solutions
- Review architectural drawings for completeness and accuracy
- Review structural calculations and drawings
- Check dimensions, levels, sections, details and construction information
- Assist with BOQ and construction planning documentation
- Coordinate tasks with freelancers and other team members
- Follow up on revisions and deadlines
- Maintain organized project files and version control
- Participate in client meetings
- Explain technical matters clearly to non-technical clients
- Perform quality checks before work is submitted
- Help improve internal standards and checklists
- Gradually take ownership of complete projects

Leadership Track





This position is intended to develop into a technical leadership role.

We are not only looking for someone who can produce drawings.

We want someone who can eventually:

- Coordinate technical team members
- Check the quality of other people's work
- Identify mistakes before they reach clients or authorities
- Take responsibility for project progress
- Communicate directly with clients
- Help junior team members improve
- Make practical technical decisions
- Escalate important issues to senior management when necessary

You will work closely with management and will gradually receive more responsibility as your technical knowledge and confidence increase.

You will eventually communicate directly with clients in Suriname and Guyana.

You do not need to be an experienced presenter when you join, but you must be willing to develop this skill.

Working Hours

This is a remote position.

The role supports projects operating mainly in Suriname and Guyana.

Working time is approximately 48 hours per week during the trainee phase.

Because of the time-zone difference, candidates must be comfortable working later hours in India so there is sufficient overlap with South American clients and team members.

Salary

Monthly salary range

₹20,000 – ₹30,000

Salary growth can be rapid for candidates who develop quickly and take on greater responsibility.

International Opportunity

Our projects are located in South America.

For suitable candidates who perform well and are interested in international experience, there may also be future opportunities to work physically in Suriname or Guyana.

Working abroad is therefore a possible long-term career option, but it is not required for this position.
