Role Description The Freight Broker role is a full-time, in office position based in Chandigarh.

The Freight

Broker will manage daily freight operations, including sourcing carriers, negotiating rates, and securing capacity for various shipment types.

Responsibilities include maintaining strong relationships with shippers and carriers, coordinating dispatch, tracking loads, and resolving delivery issues to ensure on-time performance. The role involves proactive communication with customers and carriers, handling load documentation, and updating internal systems with accurate shipment and status information.





The Freight

Broker will also support account management activities, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to process improvements that enhance service quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Freight Brokerage and Brokerage, including carrier sourcing, rate negotiation, and load coordination.
- Minimum experience required - 1 year
- Candidates should possess solid Customer Service and Account Management skills to build relationships, manage expectations, and support client retention.
- Candidates should possess practical Dispatching skills, including scheduling, load tracking, and issue resolution for time-critical shipments.
- Relevant experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations is beneficial.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and basic MS Office tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders, with a high level of integrity and attention to detail.
- A diploma or degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
