Role Description

This is a full-time Founding Hardware Engineer role based in Bengaluru. We are looking for someone with 6+ years of experience who can work as a hands-on individual contributor while also being client-facing. The role involves developing system-level solutions as well as owning detailed electronic design work required to turn concepts into production-ready products.

Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and validating electrical hardware, working on schematic capture and PCB layout, prototyping and debugging, collaborating with mechanical and software teams, supporting manufacturing and supply-chain partners, and improving designs for performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability. The engineer will also contribute to technical discussions with clients, support new business opportunities, and help define engineering standards and processes as an early member of the team.

Qualifications

- B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field; M.Tech is a plus.
- 5+ years of full-time experience developing complex and integrated hardware products.




- Hands-on experience taking at least 2 products from ideation through mass production, including at least one product produced at 10,000+ units per year.
- Strong experience with schematic capture and PCB design for RF, digital, and analog circuits.
- Experience designing 8-layer or higher PCBs, preferably using Altium.
- Strong hands-on experience in at least three areas such as analog design, high-speed digital design, power electronics, wireless power transfer, RF design, antennas, motor control, or instrumentation.
- Experience with prototyping, debugging, and hardware validation using standard lab equipment.
- Experience with multilayer PCB layout, DFM reviews, FMEA, and tools such as Altium and LTspice.
- Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing processes, including FAI, PPAP, process validation, reliability testing, HALT/HASS, and accelerated life testing.
- Strong lab experience including micro-soldering of components such as 0201, CSP, and BGA.
- Experience using equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, source-measure units, impedance analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
- Exposure to the full hardware product lifecycle, including concept development, prototyping, validation, NPI, manufacturing, and product launch.
- Experience managing component suppliers, contract manufacturers, OEMs, or JDMs, particularly across China, Malaysia, or other Asian manufacturing markets.




- Ability to support manufacturing and supply-chain activities, including supplier qualification, functional testing, and automated electrical test development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, a hands-on mindset, and comfort working independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally to clients, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience building high-reliability consumer electronics, wearable devices, or medical products at volumes exceeding 100,000 units per year.
- Experience with biomedical sensors such as ECG, PPG, SpO₂, GSR, BIA, or similar technologies.
- Experience managing or mentoring cross-functional engineering teams.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW.
- Experience with hardware testing and debugging involving software or firmware interfaces.
- Familiarity with regulatory testing and certification processes for medical or consumer devices.
