About Us

Task Labs builds and maintains mobile products used by thousands of people every day, including food and beverage ordering and delivery apps and ride-hailing platforms. We're looking for a Junior Flutter Developer who wants to grow by working on live, real-world apps where performance, reliability, and user experience matter.

The Role

You'll join our mobile team to improve, maintain, and extend our existing Flutter apps for customers, drivers, restaurants, and merchants. You'll work with senior developers, designers, QA, and backend engineers, and you'll ship features that go straight to users on Android and iOS.

What You'll Do

- Build recent features and screens in our existing Flutter codebases, following established architecture and coding standards.
- Fix bugs, improve performance, and refactor code for maintainability and stability.
- Integrate REST APIs and real-time services (such as WebSockets or Firebase) for order tracking, ride status, and live driver locations.
- Work with maps and location services, including Google Maps, geolocation, route display, and live position updates.
- Implement and maintain payment flows, push notifications, and in-app messaging.
- Turn Figma or similar designs into responsive, pixel-accurate UIs.
- Write unit and widget tests, and take part in code reviews to learn and improve.
- Help release builds to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
- Investigate production issues using crash reports and analytics tools such as Firebase Crashlytics.

What We're Looking For

Must have:





- 0–2 years of hands-on experience with Flutter and Dart, through professional work, internships, or personal projects.
- A good understanding of Flutter widgets, layouts, navigation, and the widget lifecycle.
- Experience with at least one state management approach, such as Provider, Riverpod, BLoC, or GetX.
- Experience consuming REST APIs and handling JSON.
- Working knowledge of Git and collaborative workflows like pull requests and branching.
- Solid problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in an existing codebase.

Good to have:

- Experience with Google Maps SDK, location tracking, or geofencing.
- Familiarity with Firebase services (Auth, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics).
- Exposure to payment gateway integrations (e.g. Razorpay, Stripe, PayPal).
- Understanding of clean architecture or MVVM patterns.
- Basic knowledge of native Android (Kotlin/Java) or iOS (Swift) development.
- Experience publishing an app to the Play Store or App Store.
- Personal or academic projects in food delivery, e-commerce, or ride-hailing.
