Role Description
As a Flutter Developer Intern (Unpaid) at Small Fare®, you will support the design, development, and testing of mobile applications for brands across fintech, events, e-commerce, and creator marketing. Day-to-day tasks include implementing UI components in Flutter, integrating APIs, debugging issues, and assisting in optimizing app performance and responsiveness.
You will collaborate with designers and product stakeholders to translate requirements into functional features, contribute to code reviews, and document technical details.
This is an internship role that offers hands-on learning in a fast-moving, digital-first environment and is structured as a remote position, allowing you to contribute from any location.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of Flutter and Dart, including building responsive UIs and handling state management (e.g., Provider, Riverpod, Bloc).
- Understanding of mobile app development concepts such as RESTful API integration, JSON handling, and basic authentication flows.
- Familiarity with version control tools (preferably Git), cooperative workflows, and documentation of code and technical tasks.
- Basic experience with Android Studio or VS Code, debugging tools, and testing applications on emulators.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to learn quickly in a remote, self-directed internship setting.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Enrollment in or completion of a degree or certificate program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Interest in fintech, events, e-commerce, or creator-focused platforms, and a portfolio or GitHub showcasing Flutter or mobile projects is a plus.
