Gwambo Studios Pvt. Ltd. (Gwambo), was set up by the founder of de Gournay, Claud S Cecil Gurney. Gwambo is the Indian production center of de Gournay and specializes in creating exquisite hand embroidered and hand-painted wallcoverings and allied home-furnishing products. Each design involves an array of disciplines from the technical to the artistic, from architectural drawings to color and embroidery and/or painting work.

Gwambo is also the global finance center of de Gournay providing a bouquet of business support services in respect of various functions such as Accounting & Finance, Sales Support, IT Support, IT Development, Design & Embroidery, etc. to the group.

Additionally, we also have two other registered companies in India:

a) Humble Hydrogen Pvt Ltd – The company operates in the renewable energy sector with focus on green hydrogen. Its area of operations has been the design, manufacture, and deployment of indigenous hydrogen refuelling stations in India, a business it entered approximately 3-4 years ago. Rather than import technology, Management built in-house R&D; capability from design through field validation. The company is also engaged in undertaking R&D; in other areas of the green hydrogen ecospace.

de Gournay Pvt Ltd - The Indian direct sales operations are housed under this entity. We are already working with some of India’s leading interior designers, and our products feature in the spaces of several prominent and high-profile clients across the country. Our Mumbai showroom is currently undergoing renovation, and once it formally opens, we expect the business to grow at a rapid pace in the Indian market.

Position: Finance & Accounting Manager

Salary: As per industry standards (the joiner would be on the payroll of Gwambo Studios Pvt. Ltd.)

Key responsibilities would include:

Ø Understand and eventually take responsibility for the overall Finance & Accounts function for the Indian entities, including monthly/annual closing, financial reporting, accounting and MIS.

Ø Lead manufacturing finance and product costing including overseeing of standard costing, actual costing, material consumption, logistics costs, overheads, production variances and product profitability. Drive cost optimisation and margin improvement initiatives while providing management with actionable insights to support pricing, production planning, and other business decisions.

Ø Partner with Production and Procurement teams to identify cost optimisation and operational efficiency opportunities.

Ø Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning (including variance analysis) and management reporting.

Ø Lead and manage the organisation’s working capital and treasury requirement, overseeing cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, receivables, payables and funding requirements.

Ø Provide oversight of the organisation’s statutory compliance framework, ensuring timely and accurate GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act,



FEMA and other applicable statutory compliances.

Ø Manage relationships with statutory auditors, external consultants and banks.

Ø Establish and monitor robust financial controls, governance and compliance across the business.

Ø Support the Group CFO and Management in transaction structuring between the Indian group companies, business planning, pricing, profitability, capex and strategic financial decisions, etc.

Ø Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, high performance and continuous development while ensuring high-quality delivery of financial and compliance related deliverables.

Ø A hands-on finance leader who combines strong accounting and compliance expertise with excellent manufacturing costing and commercial acumen, and can independently manage the finance function while partnering effectively with the Group CFO and operational leadership.

Candidate’s Profile

Ø Essential

- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
- 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with meaningful experience in a manufacturing and corporate environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial matters, insights and recommendations to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong hands-on experience in:

- Financial accounting
- Manufacturing costing
- Inventory accounting
- Direct & Indirect Taxation
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- MIS
- Statutory compliances

- Experience in managing a finance/accounting team.
- Strong Excel and ERP skills.
- Ability to independently manage the complete finance function of an Indian company.

Ø Preferred

- Experience in a multinational / international reporting environment. Exposure to premium luxury goods industry would be an added advantage.
- Experience in reporting to Senior Management.
- Exposure to import/export, foreign currency transactions and FEMA.
- Strong commercial orientation and ability to work closely with non-finance stakeholders.
