The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, processdriven, and comfortable operating at the intersection of finance, compliance, and company secretarial functions.

Roles and Responsibilities Ensure alignment of accounting and financial processes with SOPs and internal cost controls. Create and share financial reports, MIS, projections, and other data as and when required by stakeholders. Act as SPOC for investors, founders, VCFO, Banks, and auditors for all finance, legal, and secretarial coordination. Verify and validate all GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and MCA related workings and filings. Review and record all agreements, NDAs, and letters issued by the company. Check and approve employee reimbursements and financial transactions as per internal SOPs and cost controls, in compliance with accounting standards. Reconcile and check MIS, accounting data, filings, and transactions across bank statements, cards, reimbursements, and wallets/ledgers.

Ensure record-keeping of all financial, legal, and secretarial data in audit-ready format on drive. Perform internal audit and periodic reviews to adopt financial best practices. Support statutory, tax, and internal audits by preparing schedules, responding to auditor queries, and ensuring timely closure of audit observations. Assist in preparation of annual budgets, cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis (budget vs. actuals) for management review. Monitor and Manage day-to-day cash flow, banking operations, and working capital to ensure smooth business operations and timely vendor/statutory payments. Coordinate ROC compliances, board and shareholder meeting documentation, statutory registers, and secretarial filings with company secretary/legal counsel. Track and ensure timely renewal of licenses, registrations, insurance policies, and other statutory/compliance documents. Support fundraising, due diligence, and investor reporting requirements, including data room preparation and cap table coordination. Liaise with external consultants (tax, legal, secretarial, payroll) and ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of their services. Maintain confidentiality and data security of all financial, legal, and investor-related information. Stay updated on changes in tax laws, labour laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, and proactively flag impact on company processes. Drive process improvements and automation in accounting, reporting, and compliance workflows to improve accuracy and turnaround time.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (M.Com/MBA-Finance/CAInter/CMA-Inter preferred). 3–6 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial compliance, or finance operations, preferably in a startup, SME, or qualified services environment. Working knowledge of Indian statutory compliance — GST, TDS, PF, ESI,

and MCA/ROC filings. Exposure to company secretarial coordination, board documentation, and statutory registers is an added advantage.

Key Skills & Competencies Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes. Proficiency in accounting/ERP software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar) and advanced MS Excel/Google Sheets skills. Familiarity with GST, TDS, and payroll compliance portals, and MCA filing processes. High attention to detail and accuracy, with strong documentation and record-keeping discipline. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders (founders, investors, auditors, consultants) with professionalism and confidentiality. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and flag risks proactively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder coordination. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet strict statutory and internal deadlines. High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive financial and legal information. Key Deliverables Timely and accurate monthly/quarterly MIS and financial reports. 100% on-time statutory filings (GST, TDS, PF, ESI, MCA) with zero non-compliance.
