Job Summary The Cashier is responsible for managing all patient-related financial transactions, including registration payments, billing collections, deposits, refunds, and daily cash reconciliations. The role ensures accurate handling of cash, credit/debit card transactions, online payments, and compliance with hospital financial policies while providing courteous service to patients and attendants.

Key ResponsibilitiesCash Collection & Billing

- Collect payments from patients for consultations, diagnostics, treatments, admissions, pharmacy purchases, and other hospital services.
- Generate receipts and ensure accurate recording of all transactions.
- Process various modes of payment including cash, debit/credit cards, UPI, bank transfers, and insurance co-payments.
- Verify patient bills and payment details before accepting payments.

Cash Management
- Maintain custody of cash collections and ensure proper accounting of funds.
- Perform daily cash reconciliation and balance collections against billing reports.
- Deposit cash collections as per hospital policy and maintain supporting records.
- Handle petty cash transactions, if assigned.

Refund & Insurance Support
- Process approved patient refunds and maintain proper documentation.




- Coordinate with billing, insurance, and finance teams regarding payment discrepancies.
- Assist in verification of insurance and corporate patient payments.

Records & Compliance
- Maintain accurate cash registers, payment records, and transaction reports.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and hospital financial procedures.
- Safeguard confidential patient and financial information.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Experience
- 1-3 years of experience as a Cashier.
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment is preferred.

Required Skills
- Knowledge of cash handling and accounting procedures.
- Familiarity with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and billing software.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.

Pay: ₹275,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per year
