About the Role

We are developing advanced autonomous marine vessels and subsea systems designed to operate in challenging environments. The role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge marine technology and contribute to the testing and validation of large-scale autonomous platforms.

As a Field Test Technician, you will be a hands-on member of the operations and engineering team, supporting harbour and sea trials of autonomous marine vessels. You will be responsible for setting up and conducting tests, deploying and recovering platforms, recording trial data, and troubleshooting issues in real-world field conditions.

This is a field-first, outdoor role suited for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and wants to work closely with advanced marine and autonomous technologies.

Work Environment

Physically fit and comfortable working on and around water, boats, jetties, and coastal sites.

Comfortable working in monsoon and hot coastal conditions.

Willingness to work long or irregular field hours during testing and trial campaigns.

Comfortable with outdoor, hands-on work in a field environment rather than a desk or laboratory-based role.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the setup, execution, monitoring, and completion of mechanical, electrical, and system-level tests based on established test plans and protocols.

Participate in off-site field testing, including harbour testing and sea acceptance testing of autonomous marine vessels.

Accurately record test data and prepare preliminary test reports for the engineering team.

Identify, document, and troubleshoot anomalies, equipment issues, and system failures during field testing.

Assist with the logistics and transportation of vessels and testing equipment to field locations.

Support the assembly, deployment, operation, and recovery of marine platforms during field trials.

Calibrate, maintain, and manage testing tools, sensors, diagnostic equipment, and related inventory.





Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures and quality standards during testing activities.

Support complex field-testing, validation, and verification activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Maintain flexibility and willingness to travel to different coastal regions and maritime environments as required.

Required Qualifications

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related field.

2–6 years of hands-on experience in testing operations, field testing, quality assurance, or a highly regulated workshop/technical setting.

Familiarity with testing and measurement equipment such as sensors, multimeters, torque wrenches, and other diagnostic tools.

Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, technical documentation, and SOPs.

Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

Proactive approach toward identifying and resolving technical issues.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in marine, automotive, drone, or similar testing environments.

Exposure to AUVs, ROVs, USVs, autonomous systems, or subsea equipment will be an added advantage.

Ability to swim and willingness to strictly follow water-safety protocols is preferred.

Experience handling test documentation, quality control processes, and technical reports.

Candidates based in Goa will be preferred.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
