Role Summary:
The Educational Institution Sales Manager will be responsible for driving institutional revenue through new business acquisition, outbound prospecting, account penetration, relationship building, and solution selling. The role requires an individual who can independently identify and qualify prospects, create entry points within educational institutions, engage decision-makers, develop opportunities from the ground up, and take complete ownership of the sales cycle from prospecting through closure.
The ideal candidate will have experience selling EdTech, training, L&D;, STEM education, educational technology, technology solutions, or related products/services to schools, colleges, universities, training institutions, or enterprise accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, institutional sales, enterprise sales, account management, or solution selling.
- Drive current business acquisition through pure hunting and outbound sales strategies.
- Identify and target schools, colleges, universities, educational institutions, training organizations, skill-development centers, and other institutional accounts.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from scratch through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, networking, referrals, events, and direct prospecting.
- Independently generate, qualify, and nurture leads with minimal reliance on inbound channels.
- Own the complete sales cycle from prospecting and discovery to proposal, negotiation, closure, and account handover.
- Identify key decision-makers and influencers such as principals, directors, deans, heads of departments, procurement teams, lab heads, innovation/STEM coordinators, L&D; heads, and institutional management.
- Establish entry points within target accounts and develop multiple relationships to create long-term business opportunities.
- Penetrate large institutional accounts and identify opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, repeat business, and multi-department expansion.
- Understand customer requirements and collaborate with internal technical, product, academic, and marketing teams to design customized learning and technology solutions.
- Prepare and deliver professional presentations, product demonstrations, proposals, quotations, and solution documents.
- Lead commercial negotiations while protecting margins and ensuring profitable business growth.
- Consistently achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Develop long-term relationships with educational institutions and create opportunities for recurring and institutional-level business.
- Track competitor activity, market trends, pricing, institutional requirements, and emerging opportunities.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, opportunity stages, customer information, and pipeline reports.
- Track key sales metrics including lead generation, meetings, conversion rates, deal value, sales cycle, revenue, and account growth.
- Collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, finance, technical, product, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure smooth execution of institutional orders.
- Represent Robocraze at education conferences, exhibitions, seminars, workshops, institutional events, and business development activities.
- Travel extensively to meet prospective and existing institutional customers as required.
- Support and mentor junior sales team members in prospecting, qualification, solution selling, negotiation, and closing.
