Job Title: Field Officer - Civil & Construction

Location: Delhi / NCR

Duration: (Project-Based, with potential extension based on performance and funding)

Reporting To: Project Manager / Program Coordinator

Salary: 20k - 30k

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Oversight

- Read and interpret architectural drawings, BOQs, basic blueprints, and design layouts relevant to the school renovation.
- Provide in office supervision of contractors and vendors during execution of technical tasks such as waterproofing, painting, construction, plumbing, tiling, electrical fittings, BALA painting, and roofing.
- Ensure that all technical specifications (e.g., material grades, sizes, placements) are met as per the project plan.
- Conduct quality checks and suggest necessary corrections/improvements on-site.

2. Vendor and Contractor Coordination

- Identify and liaise with local vendors, suppliers, and contractors for materials procurement and service execution.
- Coordinate delivery schedules and negotiate timelines and quality standards with vendors.
- Maintain vendor documentation including quotations, bills, and payment status.
- Assist in preparing work orders and verifying measurements and invoices for payments.

3. Project Implementation & Monitoring

- Oversee day-to-day implementation of all project components including classroom renovation, toilet construction, water RO systems, playground development and furniture delivery.
- Monitor ongoing civil works and infrastructure upgrades for quality, adherence to timelines, and technical specifications.
- Ensure proper application of construction techniques, material standards, waterproofing, painting, and safety norms.

4. Community & School Engagement

- Engage regularly with the Education Department, School Management, local panchayat, and parents to build trust and ensure community participation.
- Communicate the project’s objectives and progress to stakeholders in a transparent and accessible manner.




- Encourage participation in school beautification, plantation, and behavioural change campaigns.

5. Training & Awareness

- Support the facilitation of training sessions on hygiene, child safety, menstrual health, and green initiatives for students and teachers.
- Ensure that behavior change components such as menstrual hygiene awareness, counseling sessions, and environment-friendly practices are well implemented.

6. Reporting & Documentation

- Prepare and submit detailed weekly and monthly reports on technical progress, field observations, challenges, and achievements.
- Maintain photographic records, checklists, bills, and vendor performance sheets.
- Report any technical discrepancies, delays, or resource gaps to the Project Manager immediately.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Graduate/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Rural Development, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of on-field experience in implementing school or community infrastructure projects.
- Experience working with contractors, architects, vendors, and educational institutions.
- Familiarity with government norms for school infrastructure, sanitation, and child-friendly design.

Essential Skills:

- Basic knowledge of construction practices, material estimation, cost control, and quality assurance.
- Ability to read construction drawings and translate them into action.
- Strong coordination and vendor management capabilities.
- Proficiency in basic computer tools (MS Word, Excel, Email, WhatsApp).
- Effective communication skills in Hindi (local dialect a plus) and English language.
- Use of & Idea of Autocad, Corel draw designs

Desirable:

- Must be local from Delhi NCR or in – around nearby areas.
- Have his own conveyance like Bike as the position is for field work.
- Experience working in rural areas or with school improvement programs.
- Familiarity with eco-friendly construction and child-centric infrastructure approaches.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
