Role Description This is a full time, on-site role based in Coimbatore for a Fabric Purchase - Textile qualified. The role involves identifying and sourcing suitable fabrics, negotiating with suppliers, and managing purchase orders to ensure timely availability of materials for production.

The individual will coordinate with design, production, and quality teams to align fabric specifications with product requirements and maintain cost-effective procurement. Day-to-day responsibilities include tracking inventory, monitoring supplier performance, maintaining accurate documentation,



and supporting continuous improvement in the supply chain. The role also requires staying updated on textile trends, pricing, and compliance standards relevant to school-wear and uniform manufacturing.

Qualifications

- Experience in textile or apparel purchasing, including fabric sourcing, supplier management, and cost negotiation.
- Knowledge of fabric types, textile construction, quality parameters, and suitability for school-wear and uniforms.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage inventory, purchase orders, and vendor performance.
- Proficiency in using basic office software and, ideally, ERP or procurement systems for documentation and reporting.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with design, production, and quality assurance teams.
- Ability to work on-site in Coimbatore and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in school-wear, uniforms, or related apparel categories is an advantage.
