Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Metal Supervisor to supervise day-to-day metal fabrication activities for retail furniture, store fixtures, and interior fit-out projects. The candidate will be responsible for manpower allocation, production quality, material utilization, and timely completion of metal fabrication work.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily metal fabrication and production activities as per production plans.
- Read and understand AutoCAD/shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications.
- Manage fabrication of MS, SS, aluminium, and other metal components used in retail fixtures and furniture.
- Supervise cutting, bending, welding, grinding, drilling, polishing, and assembly activities.
- Allocate work to welders, fabricators, helpers, and machine operators.
- Ensure correct dimensions, alignment, welding quality, and finishing as per approved drawings.
- Coordinate with Production, Design, Woodworking, Procurement, Quality, and Project teams.
- Monitor raw material consumption and minimize scrap, wastage, rejection, and rework.




- Ensure fabricated components are completed as per the required production and dispatch schedule.
- Coordinate outsourced activities such as powder coating, plating, laser cutting, and specialized finishing, wherever required.
- Conduct quality checks before components are moved to assembly or finishing.
- Maintain daily production, manpower, material consumption, and rejection records.
- Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of fabrication machines, welding equipment, and tools.
- Maintain proper housekeeping, safety, and discipline in the metal fabrication area.

Candidate Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in metal fabrication, preferably in retail furniture, store fixtures, shopfitting, or interior fit-out manufacturing.
- Robust knowledge of MS, SS, aluminium, sheet metal, pipes.
- Hands-on understanding of welding, cutting, bending, grinding, drilling,polishing, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to read technical/fabrication drawings and dimensions.
- Knowledge of MIG/TIG/ARC welding and metal finishing processes.
- Experience handling fabricators, welders, operators, and helpers.
- Strong production planning, quality control, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under tight project and dispatch timelines.
