Purpose/Objective

Executive - ASTI will be responsible for the execution and coordination of all training programs conducted by the Aviation Security Training Institute (ASTI) in accordance with the National Civil Aviation Security Training Programme (NCASTP).

This role involves developing, delivering, and assessing aviation security training for internal and external stakeholders, maintaining training records, and ensuring full compliance with BCAS guidelines.

The Executive will also be responsible for preparing training materials, ensuring the effective operation of the training process, and supporting continuous improvement within ASTI.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Training Delivery and Implementation: Deliver aviation security training for airport staff and relevant personnel, ensuring adherence to NCASTP, BCAS, and other regulatory requirements.

Prepare training calendars, handouts, notes, and individual development plans for trainees.

Accurately present validated training courses, ensuring materials are relevant and up to date with current aviation security regulations.

Sound knowledge of the Avsec regulations and procedures.

Maintain up-to-date records of training sessions, attendance, test results, feedback, and completion certifications in accordance with BCAS requirements.

Security Risk Management and Compliance: Conduct security risk assessments (SRA) related to aviation security training.

Implement mitigation measures based on the findings.

Ensure all training programs comply with regulatory guidelines, including the BCAS National Civil Aviation Security Training Programme (NCASTP), and other national and international aviation security standards.

Support the Head - ASTI during audits, ensuring that training records, systems, and processes meet compliance standards.

Address any audit findings to improve training quality.

Administrative Support for Budgeting:



Maintain financial records for training expenses and external agency training revenue.

Assist in the preparation of ASTI budgets, procurement processes, and bill processing.

Prepare and disseminate MIS reports related to training activities and performance to stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, facilitating communication regarding training initiatives and schedules.

Participate in collaborative projects with industry partners and regulatory bodies to enhance training offerings.

Technology Integration: Support the integration of new technologies into training programs, ensuring that staff and participants are familiar with tools used in training delivery.

Assist in assessing the effectiveness of technological tools in enhancing training outcomes.

Data Gathering and Reporting: Collect and maintain data on training participation, effectiveness, and resource utilization for reporting purposes.

Regularly prepare and present reports on training activities, compliance audits, and performance assessments to senior management.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to foster a supportive and efficient working environment, sharing knowledge and resources.

Attend regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies for continuous improvement in training delivery.

Continuous Improvement: Collect participant feedback on training sessions to identify strengths and areas for improvement in delivery and content.





Stay updated on the latest AVSEC technologies and integrate them into training modules to enhance training effectiveness.

Identify areas for improvement within training processes and take initiatives to streamline operations, enhance training delivery, and improve outcomes.

Technical Competencies

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferably in security management Certification: Avsec Instructor by BCAS Preferable Standalone / Inline Screeners certification by BCAS Preferable DGR CAT 12 certifications by DGCA Approved training center Work Experience: 5-7 years and more of experience in international and local aviation security regulations, standards, and best practices.

Valuable command and understanding of Aviation Security Rules, regulations, NCASP, NCASTP and NCASQCP.

Preferable to have imparted training in any ASTI setup in Aviation industries.

In-depth knowledge of international and local aviation security regulations, standards, and best practices is important.

Physical and medical qualification as per BCAS Avsec Order 03/ 2001 and Avsec Order 2/ 2018 NCASTP and any amendments thereof.
