The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly analytical and commercially oriented Equity Analyst to join our Investment Banking and Equity Advisory team.

The role will involve equity research, company analysis, valuation, financial modelling, capital-market research, investor analysis, and support for equity fundraising and transaction mandates.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of financial statements, equity markets, valuation methodologies, investment analysis, and capital-raising transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Equity &

- Company Analysis

- Conduct detailed analysis of companies, industries, sectors, and market trends.
- Analyse financial statements, business models, revenue drivers, profitability, cash flows, and growth prospects.
- Evaluate companies from an investment and transaction perspective.
- Track sector developments, market trends, competitive positioning, and key business drivers.
- Prepare detailed company and industry research reports.

Valuation &

- Financial Modelling

- Develop and maintain financial models for companies and transactions.
- Perform DCF, Comparable Company Analysis (CCA), Precedent Transaction Analysis (PTA) and other relevant valuation methodologies.
- Analyse valuation multiples and benchmarking across comparable companies.
- Conduct sensitivity and scenario analysis.
- Support valuation exercises for fundraising, M&A;, strategic investments, and other corporate finance transactions.

Equity Fundraising &

- Investment Banking

- Support equity fundraising mandates including Pre-IPO, IPO, QIP, Private Placement, Preferential Allotment,



PE/VC Funding, Strategic Investment, and Growth Capital.
- Assist in identifying and evaluating potential investors.
- Support preparation of investor presentations, pitch decks, teasers, company profiles, financial analysis, and transaction materials.
- Work closely with the Investment Banking team on transaction origination and execution.
- Assist in developing investment and transaction narratives for prospective investors and clients.

Market &

- Investor Research

- Research institutional investors, PE/VC funds, AIFs, family offices, HNIs, and strategic investors.
- Analyse investor preferences, sector focus, investment thesis, and transaction activity.
- Track relevant capital-market and fundraising trends.
- Develop investor and company databases for transaction opportunities.

Client &

- Transaction Support

- Support senior team members in client meetings and presentations.
- Assist in understanding client business models, capital requirements, valuation expectations, and strategic objectives.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of transaction deliverables.
- Maintain accurate records of research, opportunities, investor interactions, and transaction pipelines.

Candidate Profile

- 1–5 years of experience in Equity Research, Investment Banking, Equity Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, Valuation, Transaction Advisory, Institutional Research, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of equity markets, financial analysis, valuation, and investment concepts.
- Hands-on experience in financial modelling and company analysis will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of DCF, CCA, PTA, financial ratios, and valuation multiples.




- Ability to interpret financial statements and assess business performance.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
- Commercial mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced Investment Banking environment.

Education Mandatory: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Preferred: MBA/PGDM –

- Finance, CA, CFA, or relevant Equity Research / Financial Modelling certification.
