Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Microsoft 365 Migration Specialist to lead end-to-end migrations from Google Workspace (Gmail/Drive), IMAP mail systems, and Office 365 Tenant-to-Tenant scenarios. The ideal candidate will oversee the entire migration lifecycle-including planning, readiness, pilot, execution, optimization, and post-migration support-while ensuring minimal business disruption, data integrity, and adherence to security standards. This role is ideal for professionals who excel in customer-facing delivery environments and possess strong expertise in Microsoft 365 workloads (Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams) and identity management (Entra ID/Azure AD).

Responsibilities

Migration Delivery

- Plan, design, and execute migrations for Google Workspace Microsoft 365 (Gmail to Exchange Online, Google Drive to OneDrive/SharePoint, Calendar/Contacts, Groups).

- Plan, design, and execute migrations for IMAP-based systems Microsoft 365 (content discovery, folder mapping, delta/seed migrations).

- Plan, design, and execute migrations for Office 365 Tenant-to-Tenant (mergers & acquisitions, rebrands
- Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Planner).

- Conduct assessments and readiness activities, including mailbox inventory, size analysis, permissions review, shared mailboxes, distribution lists, calendar delegation, and third-party integrations.

- Develop detailed migration runbooks, including pilot, cutover, and coexistence strategies, with contingency and rollback plans.

- Ensure data fidelity and integrity by maintaining labels, metadata, permissions, folder hierarchies, sharing links, and audit trails.

Tools &

- Leverage native tools such as Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Exchange Admin Center (EAC), PowerShell (EXO/Teams/SP), SharePoint Admin, Search &
- Compliance,



and third-party tools like MigrationWiz or equivalent, and Movere/Azure Migrate for discovery (if applicable).

- Automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell for bulk operations, reporting, UPN updates, license assignments, and mail routing.

- Create dashboards and reports to track pre- and post-migration KPIs, error handling, throughput, and delta completion.

Communication &

- Stakeholder Management

- Conduct workshops to define scope and create technical design documents.

- Develop cutover communication plans, provide end-user enablement, and deliver hypercare support.

- Collaborate closely with Field Services and Security teams to ensure seamless delivery.

Required Skills &
- Experience

Technical Must-Haves

- 1-2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 migrations (Google Workspace, IMAP, Office 365 Tenant-to-Tenant).

- Advanced expertise in Exchange Online, including mail flow, connectors, hybrid configurations, and throttling management.

- Proficiency in OneDrive and SharePoint migrations, with a robust understanding of permissions, metadata, and link handling.

- Practical experience with Teams migrations, including chats, channels, Teams sites, guest access, and meeting data considerations.

- Knowledge of DNS, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, MX, and Autodiscover configuration and troubleshooting.

- Solid PowerShell skills for automation across Exchange Online, Azure AD, Teams, and SharePoint.

- Familiarity with throttling limits, migration batching, and delta pass strategies.

Tools (Good to Have)

- Experience with migration tools such as MigrationWiz, Quest On Demand Migration, AvePoint, or ShareGate.
