We are looking for a strong and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the complete maintenance and engineering function of a food manufacturing facility involved in IQF frozen foods, blast freezing and retort food processing.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on knowledge of food-processing machinery, refrigeration and cold-chain systems, utilities, electrical systems, preventive maintenance and complete plant engineering operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the complete maintenance and engineering operations of the manufacturing plant.
- Handle maintenance of IQF, blast freezing, retort and other food-processing machinery.
- Ensure smooth functioning of production-line equipment with minimum breakdowns and downtime.
- Manage industrial refrigeration and cold-chain systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, chillers, cold rooms and related equipment.
- Handle and supervise maintenance of boilers, compressors, DG sets, air compressors, HVAC, RO/water treatment systems, ETP/STP and other plant utilities.
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and automation systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine breakdowns independently and lead the maintenance team during critical breakdowns.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all plant machinery and utilities.
- Maintain critical spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for spares, services and equipment.
- Monitor machine performance, maintenance costs,



downtime and equipment efficiency.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, Stores and Operations teams to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing.
- Ensure all machinery and engineering systems comply with food-safety, hygiene, statutory and plant-safety requirements.
- Maintain proper maintenance records, breakdown reports, preventive maintenance records and engineering documentation.
- Identify opportunities for energy saving, automation, process improvement and reduction in maintenance costs.
- Supervise maintenance technicians, electricians, fitters, operators and external contractors.
- Plan and execute new machinery installation, commissioning, modification and plant expansion projects.
- Ensure all critical utilities and equipment are operational and ready for production as per manufacturing schedules.

Candidate Profile
- 8–12+ years of relevant experience, preferably in food processing, FMCG, frozen foods, dairy, beverages or similar manufacturing industries.
- Experience in a high-volume food manufacturing plant will be strongly preferred.
- Must have experience managing a maintenance team and complete plant engineering function.
- Should be a hands-on problem solver, capable of personally diagnosing critical mechanical, electrical and refrigeration issues.
- Strong knowledge of food-industry manufacturing operations and cold-chain requirements.
- Experience with frozen food and/or retort manufacturing will be a major advantage.
- Robust leadership, vendor-management and team-management skills.
- Ability to work under production pressure and respond quickly to critical breakdowns.
- Should be comfortable taking complete ownership of plant maintenance and engineering operations.

QUALIFICATION Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related Engineering discipline.
