Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Engineer / Senior Engineer Supply Chain to manage and coordinate end-to-end supply chain activities, including demand planning, production scheduling, supplier management, inventory planning, SIOP, and delivery performance.

The ideal candidate should have experience in the automobile, construction machinery, heavy equipment, or engineering manufacturing industry, with strong analytical skills and hands-on experience in Advanced Excel and ERP systems such as Infor LN or SAP.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Planning & Forecasting -

- Develop and maintain demand plans based on customer requirements, sales forecasts, historical trends, and business inputs.
- Analyze demand vs. supply gaps and identify potential shortages or excess inventory.
- Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Production, and other functions to ensure demand alignment.
- Monitor changes in customer requirements and assess their impact on supply and production plans.

Production Planning & Scheduling -
- Prepare and maintain production plans and schedules based on demand, capacity, material availability, and customer priorities.
- Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Stores, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of the plan.
- Monitor production progress and proactively identify bottlenecks or constraints.
- Ensure timely availability of materials/components to support production schedules.

Supplier Management & OTIF -
- Monitor supplier performance against OTIF (On-Time In-Full) targets.
- Track supplier delivery schedules,



shortages, delays, and recovery plans.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal procurement teams to resolve supply issues.
- Prepare supplier performance reports and highlight critical risks to management.
- Drive actions to improve supplier delivery reliability and reduce line stoppages.

SIOP / Supply Chain Planning -
- Participate in the SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) process.
- Prepare and analyze supply-demand scenarios and capacity constraints.
- Provide inputs on inventory, demand, supply, production capacity, and material availability.
- Support cross-functional discussions to align business demand with operational capacity.
- Highlight risks, constraints, and opportunities during SIOP reviews.

Inventory Management -
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimum stock availability.
- Analyze excess, slow-moving, obsolete, and shortage materials.
- Support initiatives to improve inventory turns and reduce working capital.
- Ensure appropriate safety stock and replenishment parameters.

ERP & Data Analysis -
- Use ERP systems such as Infor LN or SAP for planning, material management, order tracking, inventory monitoring, and reporting.




- Develop and maintain supply chain dashboards and MIS reports.
- Use Advanced Excel for data analysis, planning, forecasting, reporting, and scenario analysis.
- Knowledge of Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Power Query, advanced formulas, charts, and data visualization is preferred.

Required Qualifications & Experience -
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 35 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, PPC, Material Planning, Production Planning, or Operations.
- Experience in Automobile, Construction Machinery, Heavy Equipment, Engineering Manufacturing, or similar industries.
- Good understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes.
- Hands-on experience in Demand Planning, Production Scheduling, Supplier Management, OTIF, Inventory Management, and SIOP.
- Working knowledge of Infor LN and/or SAP.
- Strong proficiency in Advanced Excel and data analysis.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
