We are looking for a detailed-oriented and proactive Engineer Procurement to manage and streamline our project purchasing activities. The successful candidate will oversee vendor onboarding, cost negotiation, and order tracking to ensure high-quality engineering and MEP components are delivered on time and within budget.

Role & responsibilities

- RFQ Management: Coordinate and manage all core activities related to raising, issuing, and evaluating Requests for Quotations (RFQs).
- Vendor Development: Research, identify, and onboard potential new vendors and suppliers capable of meeting stringent project standards.
- Order Tracking: Monitor order statuses closely to ensure timely site delivery. Proactively follow up with suppliers to modify, confirm, or expedite orders as required.
- Commercial Evaluation: Evaluate and compare multiple offers from vendors, executing precise cost analysis to optimize project expenditure.
- Database Management: Keep internal databases updated with accurate order details, including transaction dates, vendor information, quantities, and negotiated discounts.
- Project Liaison:



Demonstrate complete ownership of all project facets, aligning purchasing conditions with broader project timelines, prices, and contractual terms.

Preferred candidate profile

- Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in project-based procurement and purchase engineering.
- Industry Background: Prior experience within the Engineering & Construction or turnkey project sector is required.
- Technical Skills: Deep familiarity with sourcing MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) utilities and engineering equipment.
- Core Competencies: A strong analytical mindset paired with sharp negotiation capabilities.
- Software Skills: Valuable command of the MS Office package, with advanced proficiency in MS Excel for cost modeling and data tracking.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication along with strong interpersonal skills to handle vendor relationships smoothly.
