The Industrial Waste Management Association (IWMA) was formed under the directive of the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) to establish facilities for the safe and scientific disposal of industrial solid waste in line with the Hazardous Waste (Management and Handling) Rules and the Workplace Protection Act, 1986. Since its registration in 2002, IWMA has grown to include over 3,800 member industries across Tamil Nadu.

Who can Apply?
M.E. in Energy Engineering (Preferred)
M.E. in Environmental Engineering (Preferred)
B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
B.E. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
Note: Male candidates without history of arrears are preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct energy assessments for IWMA member industries in collaboration with Kotak – IIT Madras Save Energy Mission (KISEM)
Support industries in achieving CII-GBC GreenCo Certification
Training and Development
IWMA has an active MoU with KISEM, IIT Madras, and the selected candidates will be deputed to IIT Madras for specialized training in energy audit methodologies as part of the onboarding process.
Internship and Career Growth
M.E. Candidates: Rs. 20,000/- per month (for the first 6 months)
B.E. Candidates: Rs. 15,000/- per month (for the first 6 months)
The initial period will be considered an internship, and based on performance, candidates may be offered full-time roles with a revised compensation package and long-term growth opportunities.
