nPOSITION DETAILS

nWe are looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of plant machinery, equipment, utilities, and electrical/mechanical systems. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, improving equipment reliability, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

nPrincipal Activities

n

n
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, statutory requirements, and company maintenance standards.
n
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for plant equipment and machinery.
n
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control-system issues.
n
- Attend equipment breakdowns and minimize machine downtime through effective root-cause analysis
n
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures and implement corrective/preventive actions.
n
- Maintain and update maintenance schedules, checklists, equipment history, and breakdown records.
n
- Maintain adequate inventory of critical spare parts, tools, and consumables. Maintaining records for the same
n
- Participate in 5S, Kaizen, TPM, and continuous improvement activities.
n
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance and equipment servicing.
n
- Support installation, commissioning, modification, and upgrading of machinery and equipment
n
- Maintain maintenance budget and secures estimates and cost quotes as needed.
n




- Lead a team of associates and delegating work areas to them.
n
- Synchronizing work processes with other departments of the establishment.
n
- Effective and efficient use of Lean Manufacturing and associated tools in all areas of the organization.
n
- Establish and maintain effective communication such as toolbox meetings, employee meetings, roundtables discussions.

nCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities

n

n
- Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), TPM, RCA, and breakdown maintenance.
n
- PLC and automation troubleshooting knowledge.
n
- Knowledge of VFDs, sensors, motors, control panels, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
n
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or relevant engineering software.
n
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices and electrical/mechanical safety procedures.
n
- Experience with maintenance KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, equipment availability, and downtime.
n
- Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with production and other support teams.
n
- Have Knowledge in QMS, EMS, & EHS audits standards.

nEducation

n

n
- Diploma or Bachelors in Engineering – Mechanical/ Electrical
n
- 6 to 8 years of experience in the field of facility and plant machinery maintenance.
n
- Robust knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance practices
n
- Experience should include heavy machinery maintenance on mechanical and electrical side.
n
- Exposure to Preventive/ predictive maintenance practices, lean tools (Lean Six Sigma) Preferred
