Job Title: Engine CAD / Design Engineer

Location: Chennai

Experience: 4- 6 Years

CTC: As Per Budget

Qualification: B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech Mechanical / Automobile Engineering

Notice Period: Short notice / Immediate Joiners Preferred

Skill set: Engine CAD - 3DX, CATIA V5, Teamcenter & GDT

BE/ME Mechanical or Automobile Engineering with 4 to 6 Years of strong Working experience in Engine commodity

- Solid Hands-on experience in handling CAD Modelling, New drawing creation, Vehicle Packaging, Stack up Analysis (Fastener & Linear), Design Proposals, Remastering, Assembly Maintenance, Engineering Change management activities, and Drawings Check for Proto/Initial Release/Post P Release using CATIA V5 / 3DX
- Strong Knowledge and Proven ability to apply GDT in drawings
- Familiar with any one PLM Tools/Methods
- Should be Proficient in Microsoft office tools
- Candidate should have Good Presentation & communication Skills (Written & Verbal)




- Should have Good Analytical Skills and able to Individually handle the project deliverables
- Candidates who possess the above skills and have a shorter notice period will be preferred
- 3D Modelling of Engine Components and creation of Assemblies in CATIA V5 / 3DX
- Creation of New Engine Component & Assembly drawings for Prototype/Initial releases
- Packaging, Clearance/Interference Studies and Design rule checks for Engine components and Assemblies
- Perform Fastener and Linear Stack up Analysis which involves Engine Components and Assemblies
- Drawing Prints checking as per Ford Drafting Standards and ASME GDT Standards
- 3D Model and Drawing updates as per Engineering Change requests
- Design proposals and CAD Remastering for Engine components & Assemblies
- Creation and Maintenance of Engine assemblies using CAD & PLM tools
