Job Responsibilities

- Purpose of the Role - To maintain protected, reliable, and efficient transportation of gas and other field and pipeline operations in order to achieve uninterrupted product supply to various customers as per agreed schedule while adhering to RIL standards and statutory/regulatory guidelines

- Responsibilities -
- Pipeline Operations & Maintenance -

- Maintain remote operations of pipeline in close coordination with field operations and other pipeline operations center
- Look after the routine operations of compressor/ pump stations for start-up, changeover and shutdown as required
- Maintain uninterrupted deliveries to the customers as per the agreed schedule, by ensuring equipment availability and reliability
- Utilize Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and other remote monitoring techniques to monitor and control the pipeline system
- Assist in arranging clearance for the maintenance team to execute safe planned/unplanned maintenance of various assets
- Perform troubleshooting and resolve operational issues associated with pipeline hydraulics, instruments, control systems, and equipment
- Maintain an effective alarm management system by ensuring, alarms are appropriately configured, prioritized, and effectively communicate with operators
- Maintain coordination with multiple stakeholders as business teams, maintenance teams,



customers etc. to plan and execute safe pigging operations while ensuring minimal disruption to customer supplies
- Check pipeline hydraulics through tracking various pipeline parameters as flow, pressure, temperature, density, viscosity, specific gravity etc. and assess any further operational requirements of standby machines.
- Compliance -
- Adhere to timelines for various statutory, regulatory & legal compliance as per applicability and ensure action planning in discussion with concerned team, in case of any deviations
- Comply with environmental regulations established by relevant regulatory bodies and company policies to minimize the environmental impact of pipeline operations
- Risk Mitigation and Management -
- Contribute in the identification of potential risks and vulnerabilities associated with pipeline operations,
- Support periodic review of Emergency Response and Disaster Management Plan (ERDMP), risk registers, and training for cross-functional teams as agreed,
- Coordinate with relevant internal and external stakeholders in the event of any incidents, accidents or emergencies,
- Handle pipeline emergencies in coordination with the respective field O&M; team, Business team, Maintenance team, Management.
- Policies, Processes and Procedures -
- Assist in formulation of pipeline operation's plan and ensure day-to-day execution in line with function standards & regulations,




- Provide inputs for improvements in business processes, specifications and best practices,
- Prepare and circulate various MIS reports with correct information and on timely basis to the various stakeholders,
- Remain up-to-date always with the relevant codes and standards, fulfilling regulatory requirements and internal requirements,
- Actively participate in various trainings and knowledge sharing sessions for up gradation of self.

Education Requirement Necessary: Graduate in Engineering, preferably specialized in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumental/ Chemical Engineering

Experience Requirement

- Necessary

- 2-6 years of experience, preferably in pipeline operations with exposure to similar hydrocarbon pipelines
- Desired:
- Pipeline engineering modules (Pump, start up, stop, emergency operation, shutdown)
- Ability to apply Pipeline Operations Expertise i.e., monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the pipeline system
- Knowledge of various pipeline construction techniques and methods
- Knowledge of SCADA Systems
- Proficiency and understanding of Fluid Mechanics and using hydraulic modeling software
- Ability to identify potential risks in pipeline operations
- Regulatory compliance in pipeline industry
- Familiarity with HSE regulations and practices
- Supplier Evaluation & Management (for pipeline materials, equipment, and services)
- Basic knowledge of various pipeline construction techniques and methods
