- About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Embedded Software Engineer with 4-5 years of hands-on experience in embedded platform development. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in platform SDK bring-up, device driver development, cross-platform porting, software maintenance, and security patch integration. The role involves working closely with hardware, platform, and product engineering teams to maintain software releases, address security vulnerabilities and deliver robust embedded solutions for next-generation products.

- Key Responsibilities
- Bring up and integrate platform SDKs on new hardware platforms.
- Develop, customize, and maintain embedded Linux device drivers.
- Perform board bring-up, platform validation, and hardware-software integration activities.
- Execute cross-platform software porting across different hardware architectures and operating system versions.
- Perform forward-porting and backporting of features, bug fixes, and enhancements across software releases.
- Analyze, integrate, and validate security patches, including CVE remediation and vulnerability fixes.
- Design, develop, and implement secure code fixes and patches in C/C++ for firmware-level security flaws (e.g., buffer overflows, memory leaks, improper input validation, and cryptographic weaknesses).
- Monitor, update, and patch open-source libraries, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and Linux kernel components integrated into our products.
- Collaborate with hardware, system, and software teams to ensure successful product delivery.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews,



and technical documentation activities.
- Support product sustenance, performance optimization, and software quality initiatives.

Required Skills 1. Mandatory Technical Skills

- Strong programming skills in C and C++.
- Experience in Platform SDK Bring-up and Integration.
- Hands-on experience in Linux Device Driver Development.
- Strong understanding of Embedded Linux Systems.
- Experience in Cross-Platform Porting across different processor architectures and Linux distributions.
- Experience in Forward Porting and Backporting software features and bug fixes.
- Experience in CVE Analysis, Patching, and Security Vulnerability Management.
- Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience with Linux build environments and software release management.

2. Preferred Skills

- Linux Kernel internals and customization.
- BSP (Board Support Package) development.
- ARM/ARM64 processor architecture.
- Yocto, Buildroot, Make/CMake.
- Git, GitLab, Jenkins, CI/CD workflows.
- Python or Shell scripting for automation.
- Hardware interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, GPIO, USB, PCIe, and Ethernet.
- Experience in Networking, Telecom, Wireless, or IoT product development.
- Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- Desired Candidate Profile
- 4-5 years of experience in Embedded Software Development.
- Proven experience in SDK bring-up, device driver development, and Linux platform integration.
- Strong knowledge of software porting, release maintenance, and security patching.
- Ability to independently debug and solve complex system-level issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
