Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Electrician & Freezer Technician to handle electrical maintenance, refrigeration and freezer maintenance across our QSR outlets and food courts.

The person will be responsible for maintaining electrical systems and food refrigeration equipment, attending breakdowns, carrying out preventive maintenance, identifying technical issues and ensuring that all outlets operate safely without unnecessary downtime.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with commercial freezers, refrigerators, chillers, deep freezers and electrical equipment used in restaurants/QSRs.

Key Responsibilities1. Electrical Maintenance

- Handle day-to-day electrical maintenance at QSR outlets and food courts.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and attend breakdowns quickly.
- Check and maintain electrical wiring, switches, sockets, MCBs, DBs, contactors, relays and other electrical components.
- Maintain lighting, signage, exhaust systems, kitchen equipment and other electrical installations.
- Check voltage, current and electrical connections using appropriate testing equipment.
- Identify loose connections, short circuits, overloads and other electrical problems.
- Carry out minor electrical repairs and replacements.
- Ensure electrical installations are safe and properly maintained.
- Support new outlet setup and electrical installation work when required.
- Maintain proper electrical safety standards at all outlets.

1. Freezer & Refrigeration Maintenance

- Maintain and troubleshoot commercial freezers, deep freezers, refrigerators and chillers.
- Attend freezer and refrigeration breakdowns at outlets.
- Check compressor, condenser, evaporator, thermostat, fan motor, relay, capacitor and other components.
- Check refrigerant/gas pressure and identify leakage issues.
- Carry out basic refrigerant charging and gas-related maintenance where technically qualified.
- Check temperature performance and ensure equipment maintains the required temperature.
- Identify abnormal compressor noise, overheating, icing and cooling problems.
- Clean and maintain condenser coils and other refrigeration components.
- Replace faulty electrical and refrigeration components when required.
- Maintain cold storage and food preservation equipment to avoid product loss.
- Respond quickly to freezer breakdowns, especially where food stock may be at risk.

1. Preventive Maintenance

- Prepare and follow a preventive maintenance schedule for all outlets.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical equipment and refrigeration equipment.




- Identify potential failures before they become major breakdowns.
- Maintain outlet-wise maintenance records.
- Track recurring equipment problems and recommend permanent solutions.
- Ensure critical equipment is checked regularly.
- Maintain proper records of replaced parts, service work and repairs.

1. Emergency Breakdown Support

- Attend urgent electrical and freezer breakdowns at outlets.
- Provide support during evenings, weekends or holidays when critical equipment fails.
- Prioritize breakdowns that can affect food safety, food storage or outlet operations.
- Coordinate with outlet managers during breakdowns.
- Ensure equipment is restored as quickly as possible.
- Escalate major technical issues to the Maintenance/Operations Manager.

1. Outlet Support

The technician may be required to travel between multiple QSR outlets and food courts in Bangalore.

Responsibilities include

- Visiting outlets for scheduled maintenance.
- Attending emergency breakdown calls.
- Inspecting outlet equipment.
- Supporting new outlet openings.
- Checking equipment before handover of a new outlet.
- Coordinating with external vendors/service technicians when specialized repairs are required.

Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily maintenance records.
- Maintain outlet-wise breakdown records.
- Record spare parts used and replaced.
- Report major equipment failures to management.
- Maintain preventive maintenance checklists.
- Maintain equipment service history.
- Inform management about equipment that requires replacement instead of repeated repair.
- Submit photographs or service updates when required.

Food Safety & Hygiene Since the role involves working in food outlets, the technician must:
- Follow food court hygiene requirements.
- Keep the work area clean after completing repairs.
- Avoid leaving tools, wires,



spare parts or waste inside food preparation areas.
- Follow electrical and refrigeration safety procedures.
- Ensure repair activities do not contaminate food or food-contact areas.
- Coordinate with outlet staff before working near food preparation/storage areas.

Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or related technical qualification preferred.
- Relevant hands-on experience will also be considered.

Experience Preferred: 2–5 years of relevant experience in:

- Facility Maintenance

Candidates with strong practical experience in both electrical maintenance and commercial refrigeration will be preferred.

Additional Requirements

- Willingness to travel to multiple outlets in Bangalore.
- Must be available for emergency breakdown calls when required.
- Should carry/maintain basic electrical and refrigeration tools.
- Valid two-wheeler licence is preferred.
- Own two-wheeler is preferred.
- Should be able to work independently and coordinate with outlet managers.

The person should not only repair equipment after it breaks down but should also identify recurring problems and take preventive action to avoid repeated breakdowns.
