Manufacturing Plant – CNC / VMC / HMC Machine Shop

Job Purpose To ensure the smooth, safe and continuous operation of CNC, VMC, HMC and other production machinery by carrying out preventive, breakdown and corrective electrical maintenance activities and minimizing machine downtime.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC, VMC, HMC and other machine shop equipment.
- Attend machine breakdowns and identify electrical faults to restore machines with minimum downtime.
- Troubleshoot and maintain:
- CNC machine electrical systems
- VMC and HMC machines
- Control panels
- Motors and starters
- Sensors and proximity switches
- Relays, contactors and overloads
- Solenoid valves
- Limit switches
- SMPS and transformers
- MCB, MCCB and ELCB
- PLC-related electrical circuits
- Emergency stop and safety circuits
- Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) as per the maintenance schedule and maintain proper records.
- Diagnose machine electrical problems using multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester and other electrical testing instruments.
- Check and maintain machine wiring, cable connections, terminals, control panels and electrical components.
- Monitor machine electrical parameters such as voltage, current, phase sequence and motor loading.
- Attend recurring electrical problems and identify the root cause to prevent repeated breakdowns.
- Support troubleshooting of CNC control systems, servo drives, spindle drives and related electrical circuits.
- Coordinate with production and other maintenance personnel during machine breakdowns and maintenance activities.




- Ensure proper functioning of machine safety devices, interlocks, emergency stops and protection systems.
- Maintain adequate stock and usage records of critical electrical spare parts.
- Follow LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), electrical safety procedures and PPE requirements during maintenance activities.
- Maintain daily records of:
- Breakdown details
- Machine downtime
- Preventive maintenance
- Electrical faults
- Spare parts replaced
- Corrective actions
- Assist in machine installation, commissioning, shifting and electrical connection activities whenever required.
- Support maintenance activities for compressors, pumps, panels, lighting and other plant electrical systems.
- Work towards reducing machine breakdown time and improving machine availability.
- Coordinate with external service engineers/vendors whenever specialized machine electrical support is required.

Educational Qualification Diploma / ITI / BE / B.E. – Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE)

or equivalent technical qualification.

Experience

2–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance in a CNC / VMC / HMC / precision manufacturing / machine shop environment.

Freshers with relevant technical knowledge may be considered for Technician-level positions.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,927.36 per month
