Job Title: EHS Assistant Manager

Qualification: ADIS/PDIS

Experience:7 to 8 Years

Key Responsibilities

Process Safety & Risk Management:

- Implement and audit Process Safety Management (PSM) guidelines across multi-product chemical production lines, specifically focusing on gas tracking, handling hazardous compounds, and reaction safety.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) studies, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment).
- Ensure strict adherence to Work Permit Systems (Hot work, Confined space, Height work, and Cold work) across the plant premises.

Fire Engineering & Emergency Response:

- Oversee the maintenance, health, and periodic pressure testing of the entire plant fire hydrant network, foam pouring systems, fire tenders, gas detection systems, and DCP extinguishers.
- Act as the Incident Controller/Safety Leader during site mock drills and real-world industrial emergencies.
- Design, implement, and continuously update the On-Site Emergency Plan in accordance with GIDC factory norms and legal requirements.

Statutory Compliance & Audits:





- Coordinate and draft documentation for safety inspections by the Directorate of Industrial Safety & Health (DISH), GPCB, and PESO (Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization).
- Ensure 100% legal compliance under the Factories Act, 1948 and Gujarat Factories Rules.
- Maintain comprehensive records of accident/incident investigations, root cause analysis (RCA), and implementing CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).

Safety Culture & Training:

- Lead safety training modules for employee onboarding, hazardous material chemical handling (Hazchem), contractor safety, and correct SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) usage. Drive the plant's "Zero Accident" initiatives and manage the deployment of specialized Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) suitable for toxic environments
