Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Coal Trader to manage coal trading operations across domestic and international markets. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing, import coordination, domestic sales, distribution management, customer acquisition, and market development for various grades of coal.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage procurement and trading of imported and domestic coal.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, importers, distributors, and end-users.
- Handle end-to-end import activities including shipment coordination, documentation, customs clearance, and logistics.
- Drive domestic sales and expand market presence across key industrial sectors.
- Monitor coal market trends, pricing movements, freight costs, and regulatory developments.
- Negotiate commercial contracts with suppliers and customers.
- Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely deliveries.
- Manage inventory planning and supply chain execution.
- Conduct market research and identify recent business opportunities.
- Prepare trading reports, market analysis, and profitability assessments.





Desired Candidate Profile

- 10-15 years of experience in coal trading, commodity trading, procurement, or sales.
- Strong understanding of domestic and imported coal markets.
- Experience handling import operations, logistics, and local distribution.
- Good knowledge of coal grades, pricing structures, and industry dynamics.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.

Educational Qualification – Coal Trader

Required:

- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

Preferred:

- MBA in Marketing, International Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or Operations.
- Certification or training in Commodity Trading, International Trade, Shipping & Logistics, or Coal & Energy Markets will be an added advantage.
