Title: Consultant (Directors Office)

Reports to: Director

Engagement type: Full-time

Location: Bengaluru (Will be required to travel across the country)

About the Role:

This role puts you at the center of leadership decision-making. You will work closely with senior consultants, cross-functional teams and external partners, and gain a view of how survey , market research, politics, policy and technical products are driven at the top.

Key Responsibilities (in order of priority)

Stakeholder Management and Liaison

- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Director's office with internal divisions, other departments, senior officials, partner agencies, industry bodies and external visitors.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships based on trust, responsiveness and professionalism.
- Manage sensitive communications diplomatically, representing the Director's office with credibility.
- Map key stakeholders for priority initiatives, track their inputs and concerns, and ensure timely engagement.
- Handle escalations and competing expectations with sound judgement, and keep the Director informed.

High-Value Meetings and Follow-Through





- Plan and coordinate review meetings, inter-departmental consultations, stakeholder consultations and engagements.
- Prepare agendas, briefing notes, talking points and presentations.
- Record crisp minutes, circulate action points promptly, and follow up until every item is closed.

Time Management

- Own the Director's calendar so that time goes first to the highest-impact priorities.
- Evaluate meeting requests, balance competing demands, and resolve conflicts with teams.

Document Review and Advisory Support

- Review files, proposals, reports and correspondence, and flag gaps, risks and inconsistencies.
- Distil complex documents into sharp, decision-ready briefs with transparent recommendations.
- Draft high-quality mails, notes, speeches, presentations and responses on the Director's behalf.

Project Coordination and Delivery

- Drive the Director office’s priority initiatives by tracking milestones, owners and deadlines through a central dashboard.
- Coordinate across teams, field offices, vendors and partners to unblock delays and keep work moving.
- Prepare progress reports and insights for leadership reviews, highlighting risks and practical solutions.

Who We're Looking For

Essential

- Graduate degree in any discipline; a postgraduate degree in Management, Public Policy, Public Administration or a related field is preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in consulting, executive support, stakeholder engagement or project coordination.

Desirable

- Experience in a senior leader's office, or in government, PSU or development-sector settings.
- Familiarity with government procedures, file noting and official drafting.
- Exposure to project management tools and monitoring frameworks.
