About Students For Liberty Students For Liberty is the largest pro-liberty student organization in the world, with volunteers active in 127 countries on every inhabited continent. With a multi-million-dollar budget and more than 80 full time staff, we identify the top pro-liberty students and empower them to become agents of change in their communities.

Last school year, our students organized over 3,700 events with more than 221,000 people in attendance. We are a fully virtual, entrepreneurial organization with a team in the U.S. and around the world.

Position Summary

We are looking for someone to lead Students For Liberty’s work across Asia-Pacific. This is a full-time, fully remote role based in Asia-Pacific, reporting to the Director of International Programs. You lead the Asia-Pacific team and the Asia-Pacific Coordinator Program, and through the coordinators you reach student leaders across many countries, languages, and time zones.

We are looking for a leader who can recruit students who have never heard of SFL, get them active within their first months, and build the structure that keeps them producing after the first year.

SFL turns pro-liberty students into leaders, and Asia-Pacific covers dozens of countries and time zones that run from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific. Our goal is a coordinator in Manila, Jakarta, or Taipei who finds training, a mentor, and a project within their first year, in whichever month they are ready for it.

The Director of Asia-Pacific Programs is someone who has grown a volunteer organization from a small base. You have recruited people who owed you nothing, trained them, and held them to a standard they chose to meet. You have started something in a country where nobody knew your organization, and it kept running after you stepped back.

You have raised money from partners and sponsors for work you led yourself. We want that capability pointed at the Asia-Pacific Coordinator Program, the team that runs it, and the students the region reaches.

A successful candidate will bring a firm commitment to classical-liberal ideas and to SFL’s vision and mission.

What you will own

Grow The region earns its results from the students who do something real, not the students who sign up. You own the Asia-Pacific Coordinator Program from end to end: recruiting across the region, activation inside a coordinator’s first 60 to 90 days,



the activity standard each one has to meet, and the route into Alumni. You decide where the region spends its recruiting effort, which markets earn more of it, and where a country needs a different approach from the one it runs today.

Mentor

Coordinators grow between events, not only at them. You own how a coordinator in Asia-Pacific finds a mentor, what that mentor owes them, and what the region delivers across the twelve months around its set-piece events. The Top Leadership Retreat trains project building for the students who earn a place, and you own how a project idea becomes a plan for everyone else.

Build

You choose the markets where the region grows next, and you open them. You decide which countries get a coordinator base first, what an entry looks like in a market with no SFL history, and who leads it on the ground. You work through alumni, partners, and local organizations where they exist, and you start from a single student where they do not.

Fund The region’s growth needs money, and you lead the work of raising it. You build relationships with partners, sponsors, foundations, and individual supporters across Asia-Pacific, you make the case for the region’s programs in writing and in the room, and you carry the regional fundraising target. You work with the Development team rather than around it: every contact and commitment lands in Salesforce, and every ask fits the plan SFL already holds for that funder.

Develop

You manage the Asia-Pacific team, and your job is to make each person better at their work. You set and review their targets every quarter, you coach them through their own hard conversations, and you keep a team spread across many time zones pointed at the same goals. You own the region’s yearly plan and budget, and the monthly report on it to the Director of International Programs, where a number under target arrives with a written plan, a named owner, and a date.

Who we are looking for

- You have managed staff: you set their targets, reviewed them against results, and developed the people in the roles




- You have grown a volunteer organization from a small base: you recruited people who owed you nothing, trained them, and held them to a standard they chose to meet
- You have started something in a market where nobody knew your organization, and it kept running after you stepped back
- You have run a recruitment pipeline and fixed it. You can name the stage that was leaking, what you changed, and what the numbers did afterward
- You have moved volunteers from signing up to doing something real: projects, campaigns, media, or organizations they started themselves
- You have built mentorship or training that ran through the year rather than at a single event, and other people delivered it
- You have raised money for work you led: sponsorships, partner revenue, grants, or individual gifts
- You have managed programs and people across countries, languages, and time zones, and kept them pointed at the same goals
- You live in Asia-Pacific, you know the pro-liberty organizations and people in the region, and you can travel across it. Working knowledge of regional languages beyond English helps
- You are at home with evidence, CRMs, dashboards, and measurement systems; Salesforce is a plus
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Ownership, humility, professionalism, and an entrepreneurial attitude
