PURPOSE:

The Head of Internal Audit leads operational audits and rigorous business and IT control testing across Whirlpool of India Limited. This role co-leads the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework jointly with Legal for overall risk assessments, while delivering dedicated investigative support to the Legal team, ensuring robust governance, IT risk mitigation, and operational efficiency across the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Strategic Operational Audit Direction: Formulate, direct, and oversee the execution of the annual risk-based operational audit plan.

- Internal &
- IT Control Governance:

Own the internal controls workplace including Internal Financial Controls (ICFR under Companies Act 2013), IT General Controls (ITGC), and other automated application controls for operations. Also, leading the risk assessment of new IT system implementation.

- Joint Enterprise Risk Management (ERM): Co-lead the ERM framework in equal partnership with Legal, driving enterprise risk assessments, prioritization, and presentations to the board.

- Forensic &

- Investigative Leadership:





Lead forensic audit strategies and direct dedicated resources to support Legal during whistleblower investigations, financial irregularities, and ethics breaches.

- Board &

- Committee Reporting:

Serve as key advisor to the Audit Committee and Executive Leadership, delivering crisp, transparent reporting on operational audit findings, IT risks, and control maturity.

- Enterprise Remediation &

- Accountability:

Enforce strict accountability across functional heads to ensure timely, permanent closure of identified control and operational gaps.

- Functional Leadership &

- Strategy:

Define the vision, organizational structure, and capability development for the audit function

BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES :

- Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Ind AS GAAP, Companies Act 2013 regulations, IFC compliance, and SAP ERP controls.

- Operational Understanding: Strong domain knowledge of manufacturing cost controls, commercial trade spend, plant logistics, and vendor management.

- Leadership &
- Communication:

Exceptional leadership and executive presentation skills, with proven ability to influence senior leadership and board members.
