Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Director – Finance to lead and drive key financial functions, including budgeting and forecasting, financial performance analysis, management reporting, financial due diligence, statutory audits, compliance, and strategic financial planning. The role will work closely with business teams to understand revenue streams, cost drivers, and business models, while providing financial and commercial insights to support business decisions.

Role Overview The Director – Finance will be responsible for driving annual budgeting and monthly forecasting, monitoring financial performance against key business metrics, conducting variance analysis, supporting strategic planning and scenario modelling, and leading financial due diligence. The role will also be responsible for statutory audit-related activities, financial compliance, internal controls, and accurate month-end reporting, while supporting fundraising and capital allocation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Drive annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes across business units. Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and document relevant financial highlights to support management decision-making. Partner with business teams to understand revenue streams, cost drivers, and business models.

Provide commercial and financial insights to support business decisions, including pricing strategies, product launches, and investment initiatives. Monitor and report on business KPIs. Prepare dashboards and management reports.

Conduct variance analysis and suggest actionable improvements. Support strategic planning, scenario modelling, and long-range planning. Lead financial due diligence. Support fundraising and capital allocation initiatives.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.



Collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate month-end close and reporting.

Required Qualifications Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory. 10+ years of experience, including experience in a leadership role. Startup experience – Mandatory. Strong experience with Indian GAAP and statutory audits – Mandatory. B2B experience – Preferred. Big 4 audit experience – Preferred. Relevant financial due diligence experience – Preferred. Fundraising experience is not mandatory but will be an added advantage. Candidates with primarily US GAAP experience are not preferred.

Additional Role Details

The current Finance team comprises approximately 10–12 employees. ESOPs will be offered along with a variable component. Fundraising experience will be an added advantage, as the company is planning for a Series B round next year. The Founder prefers candidates who are based close to HSR Layout or are comfortable relocating closer to the office.
