nAbout the Role
nWe are seeking a motivated Dietitian Intern to join our Nutrition & Dietetics team. This internship offers hands-on experience in clinical nutrition, meal planning, and patient/client education under the supervision of licensed dietitians. It's an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates pursuing a career in dietetics to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world setting.

nKey Responsibilities

- Assist registered dietitians in assessing patients'/clients' nutritional needs
n
- Help develop individualized meal plans and dietary recommendations
n
- Support nutrition education sessions for patients, families, or community groups
n
- Conduct diet histories and nutritional screenings under supervision
n
- Assist with menu planning and recipe development
n
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate nutrition records
n
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and training sessions
n
- Research current nutrition trends, guidelines, and evidence-based practices
n
- Support administrative tasks related to the nutrition department
n

n
nQualifications
n
n
- Currently enrolled in (or recent graduate of) an accredited Dietetics, Nutrition, or related degree program
n
- Working toward completion of a Dietetic Internship (DI) or equivalent supervised practice hours (if applicable)
n
- Basic knowledge of nutrition science, food safety, and dietary guidelines
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Detail-oriented with valuable organizational and time-management skills
n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with nutrition software/EHR systems a plus
n
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
n

nPreferred Skills
n
n
- Prior experience or coursework in clinical or community nutrition
n
- CPR/First Aid certification
n
- Bilingual abilities (a plus, depending on patient population)
