About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Head of Platform Engineering to lead our DevOps, Cloud, and Infrastructure functions at Webskitters Technology Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for building and managing scalable, secure, and automated cloud platforms that support multiple global client projects. You will define the platform strategy, improve operational efficiency, and enable development teams to deliver faster and more reliably.

The ideal candidate should have strong AWS expertise, proven team management experience, and exposure to service-based IT delivery models.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & Leadership

- Define and drive the overall Platform Engineering strategy aligned with business goals.
- Build a platform-first engineering culture focused on automation, reliability, and scalability.
- Design a multi-client cloud architecture suitable for a global service organization.
- Create and maintain a long-term technology roadmap.
- Work closely with senior leadership on cloud governance, budgeting, and performance planning.

1. Technical Ownership

- Architect and manage AWS cloud infrastructure including EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, VPC, and Route 53.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
- Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or ArgoCD.
- Lead containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker.
- Establish monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or similar tools.
- Define disaster recovery and multi-region deployment strategies.
- Ensure strong cloud security and compliance standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR.

Operational Excellence

- Ensure high performance, reliability, and cost optimization of cloud environments.
- Define and monitor SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs.
- Automate deployments and infrastructure management.
- Lead incident management and root cause analysis processes.
- Track and control AWS cloud spending across projects.

1. Team Management

- Build and manage a high-performing team of DevOps Engineers, Cloud Architects, and SREs.
- Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and career development support.
- Establish performance management and skill development frameworks.
- Collaborate with Development, QA, and Security teams.
- Participate in architectural reviews and executive discussions.
- Proven experience in hiring and managing technical teams is mandatory.

1. Stakeholder & Client Collaboration

- Support pre-sales and solutioning with technical architecture inputs.
- Communicate platform performance and cost metrics to leadership and clients.
- Align platform capabilities with client delivery needs.

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional).
- 9+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership or team management role.
- Experience in service-based organizations managing multiple client projects.
- Strong expertise in:
- AWS cloud infrastructure
- CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab
- Kubernetes and Docker
- Infrastructure-as-Code tools




- Monitoring and observability tools
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps and cloud security best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred
- Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD) or other DevOps certifications.
- Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
- Exposure to compliance-driven industries such as finance or healthcare.
- Certifications in cybersecurity such as CISSP or CompTIA Security+.
