Role Overview The Design Quality Control (DQC) skilled is responsible for ensuring that all design outputs meet company standards, technical accuracy, client requirements, and cost efficiency before project execution. This role acts as a bridge between design, detailing, and execution teams to maintain high-quality deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design Quality ReviewReview 2D drawings (layouts, elevations, sections) for accuracy and completenessEnsure adherence to company design standards and guidelinesValidate dimensions, materials, and functional feasibility
2. BOQ & Costing ValidationCross-check BOQ with approved designsEnsure correct material specificationsVerify costing accuracy and avoid mismatches between design and budget
3. Technical ComplianceEnsure all designs follow technical standardsCheck feasibility for production and installationIdentify and correct design errors before execution
4. Coordination & CommunicationWork closely with Designers, DA team,
and Production teamsProvide feedback and corrections to designersCoordinate for design changes and approvals
5. Process & DocumentationMaintain DQC checklists and SOPsTrack project status using dashboards/trackersEnsure all design files are properly documented and approved6. Quality Assurance Before HandoverConduct final design validation before productionEnsure no discrepancies between design, BOQ, and drawingsApprove designs for execution
