- Design and develop Special Purpose Machines (SPM) and automation equipment.
- Create 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Prepare machine layouts, assembly drawings and detailed component drawings.
- Develop BOM (Bill of Materials) and support material selection.
- Understand customer requirements and convert them into machine designs.
- Coordinate with PLC, Electrical, Assembly and Production teams.
- Modify designs based on machine trials and customer requirements.
- Check dimensions, tolerances and manufacturability of components.
- Support machine assembly, testing and commissioning.
- Prepare and maintain design documentation.
Required Skills
- SolidWorks – 3D modelling & 2D drawing
- AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
- Knowledge of SPM / Industrial Automation machine design.
- Good knowledge of mechanical components such as:
- Bearings
- Linear guides
- Ball screws
- Pneumatic cylinders
- Gearboxes
- Motors
- Sensors
- Knowledge of GD&T; and engineering drawings.
- Valuable problem-solving and coordination skills.
Qualification Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering
