Role Summary The Deputy Manager - Projects will be the Project Manager's principal day-to-day support across planning, design review, procurement, site execution, quality control, safety, commercial coordination and client actions. The role will coordinate the project team, review technical deliverables, independently control project quality and drive timely decisions and closure within delegated authority.

Qualifications and Experience

B.E. or B.Tech in Electrical/EEE, Power Systems or Renewable Energy; an electrical qualification is required because the role includes solar PV design review.

5-8 years of solar EPC experience covering project execution, technical/design coordination and QA/QC, including at least 2 years coordinating multiple projects or leading site teams.

¢ Demonstrable end-to-end exposure to survey, design coordination, procurement, construction, inspection, testing, commissioning and handover.

¢ Ability to review layouts, SLDs, DC/AC sizing, stringing, cable sizing, protection, earthing, metering schemes, equipment selection, energy-yield assumptions and BOQs; working proficiency in AutoCAD and PVsyst is preferred.

¢ Practical knowledge of Project Quality Plans, ITPs, hold/witness points, material traceability, calibration control, NCR/CAPA, testing and handover dossiers, together with applicable IS/IEC, BIS/ALMM, CEA/DISCOM and HSE requirements.

¢ Proficiency in MS Project or equivalent, advanced Excel and ERP/document-control systems, with robust leadership, commercial awareness,



communication and reporting skills and willingness to travel.

Key Responsibility Areas

¢ Assist the Project Manager across day-to-day planning, technical review, procurement, execution, quality control, safety, commercial coordination and client management.

¢ Integrate engineering, procurement, construction, quality, safety and commercial inputs; review schedules, resources and critical-path slippages and drive recovery actions.

¢ Review survey data, design basis, layouts, SLDs, calculations, equipment selections, BOQs and vendor or consultant drawings and recommend approval or corrective action to the Project Manager.

¢ Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan, ITPs, method-statement review process and inspection checklists; verify material traceability and conduct stage-wise inspections.

¢ Control hold/witness points, calibration and pre-commissioning/commissioning tests; raise NCRs, lead corrective action and withhold quality release for unresolved non-conformance.

¢ Coordinate the Project Coordinator, Project Engineers, external designers or specialists, Procurement, Finance, vendors and subcontractors and maintain clear action ownership.

¢ Monitor site progress, productivity, material readiness, HSE compliance, subcontractor measurements, project risks and client dependencies and escalate material exceptions promptly.

¢ Support client, consultant, DISCOM and authority meetings and review DPRs, MIS, risk/change registers, billing support, quality records and handover dossiers before Project Manager approval.

¢ Support mobilisation, statutory approvals, testing, commissioning, handover and close-out and mentor the Project Coordinator and Project Engineers.
