Role & responsibilities:

Maintenance Planning & Execution

- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance across all shifts.
- Conduct inspections, shutdowns, repairs, installations, and equipment overhauls.
- Ensure machinery and facilities remain reliable and production-ready.

Equipment & Project Management

- Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machines, PLCs, VFDs, welding equipment, plasma and bending machines, SAW systems, and EOT cranes.
- Support production teams with equipment modifications and breakdown resolution.
- Manage CAPEX, plant improvement, energy conservation, and recent equipment installation projects.

Budget & Inventory Control

- Control maintenance expenses and budgets.
- Plan procurement and maintain inventory of critical spares.

Team & Vendor Management

- Lead, train, appraise, and develop maintenance engineers, electricians, and technicians.
- Prepare work schedules, delegate responsibilities, and conduct regular team meetings.
- Coordinate contractors and service providers to ensure timely, quality execution.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, statutory regulations, and workplace policies.
- Conduct electrical safety audits and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain documentation and compliance with ISO 14001, TS 16949, TPM, 5S, and other applicable standards.

Reporting

- Track maintenance KPIs,



prepare MIS reports, conduct gap analysis, and implement CAPA.
- Provide regular updates on breakdowns, maintenance activities, and project progress.

Preferred candidate profile: Experience: Proven experience as a maintenance manager in the heavy fabrication industry only. Experience in planning maintenance operations.

Knowledge : Working knowledge of facilities, machines, and equipment.

Experience in maintaining machines used in the heavy fabrication industry. knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Knowledge of procurement & inventory management. Knowledge of CNC Machines, Welding Inverters, SAW Machines, CNC plasma, EOT Cranes, PLC, etc.

Experience in PLC programming and automation projects. Good understanding on shop and machine capability, various manufacturing processes used in heavy fabrication. Good knowledge of critical and heavy material handling.

Functional Skills : Electrical and electronics problem Troubleshooting. Documentation and accuracy. Communication skills

IT Skills : Proficiency in MS Office.

Abilities : Ability to identify hazards, enforce safety protocols, and lead safety inspections

Ability to Adapt to changing priorities, shift schedules, and production demands.

Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
