Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned engineering leader to join us as Deputy General Manager (DGM) – Engineering for our flagship high-rise developments. This role is pivotal in driving end-to-end project execution, ensuring excellence in construction, adherence to timelines, and alignment with quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale high-rise developments, including at least two successfully completed projects with a minimum height of 150 metres each. The incumbent will bring strong technical acumen, leadership capability, and cross-functional coordination to deliver complex developments with precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive project plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and project milestones.
- Drive project scheduling, resource planning, and milestone tracking across all phases of construction.
- Ensure timely delivery within approved budgets and defined quality benchmarks.
- Oversee construction methodologies, technical planning, and execution strategies for high-rise developments.

2. Site Management & Supervision





- Oversee all on-site engineering and construction activities, ensuring seamless coordination across project teams.
- Ensure strict adherence to approved drawings, design specifications, construction methodologies, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Collaborate effectively with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor critical construction activities, including structural works, vertical transportation, façade installation, and finishing.

3. Budgeting & Cost Control

- Manage project budgets and monitor cost performance against approved estimates.
- Drive cost optimisation initiatives while maintaining the required quality and technical standards.
- Review and approve contractor bills, BOQs, and variation claims in accordance with delegated authority.
- Identify opportunities for improving productivity, resource utilisation, and overall project cost efficiency.

4. Quality & Safety Compliance

- Establish and enforce robust quality assurance and quality control frameworks.
- Implement and monitor safety standards, site inspections, and audit mechanisms.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory, environmental, and construction regulations.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions to address construction quality issues and site risks.

5. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

- Lead vendor selection, technical evaluation, and contractor performance management.
- Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders,



consultants, contractors, and relevant authorities.
- Proactively resolve site-level challenges, technical bottlenecks, and project escalations.
- Ensure effective coordination between engineering, procurement, planning, and project management teams.

6. Reporting & Governance

- Present periodic MIS reports on project progress, cost performance, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Identify project risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Lead project review meetings with internal teams and senior leadership.
- Establish effective project monitoring systems and ensure accountability across execution teams.

Candidate Profile

- Experience: 18+ years of experience in engineering and construction, preferably within the real estate development sector.
- High-Rise Project Experience: Must have successfully completed at least 2 high-rise projects, each with a minimum height of 150 metres.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum 8 years in a senior leadership role managing large-scale residential and/or commercial developments.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of high-rise construction, structural engineering, project planning, execution methodologies, and construction management.
- Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- Project Delivery: Proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale developments with robust execution, cost control, quality, and safety outcomes.
- Leadership & Coordination: Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage consultants, contractors, and senior stakeholders.

Mandatory Selection Criterion

- Candidates must have direct experience in the successful completion and delivery of a minimum of two high-rise projects, each at least 150 metres in height.
