- Conduct regular shop floor safety audits and identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
- Ensure proper implementation of work permits and safety procedures.
- Conduct safety awareness programs, toolbox talks, pep talks and firefighting training.
- Promote protected working practices among employees and contract workers.
- Monitor daily PPE compliance and ensure employees follow required safety standards.
- Inspect and monitor fire safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, fire hydrants and fire alarm systems.
- Conduct safety committee meetings, workplace inspections, mock drills and emergency preparedness activities.
- Identify and report near misses, unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Investigate workplace accidents and identify root causes and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
- Monitor applicable HSE legal and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate internal, external and certification audits and support closure of audit observations.
- Maintain and regularly update HSE records, reports, documents and safety-related data.
- Prepare monthly HSE reports covering safety and environmental performance.
- Prepare safety reports and presentations using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety and environmental compliance.
