Role : Delivery Head

Experience: 15 to 20 years

Location: Bangalore

Domain Experience: BFSI, preferably with large banking customers

Role Overview The Delivery Head is responsible for owning the delivery of the strategic account and the projects within the account. This includes providing inputs on project planning and management for established initiatives. The incumbent will act as the lead subject matter expert within the organization on technology and domain concerns.

Key Responsibilities

- Work with key project stakeholders to formulate and communicate the business vision, envision initial requirements, and scope the project.




- Work closely with key stakeholders to understand project scope and requirements in terms of features and capabilities and understand business processes required to ensure end-to-end delivery of intended project results.
- Identify and track deliverables while gathering and documenting project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies; own release management.
- Practice Agile methodologies such as Scrum/Kanban and demonstrate best practices to the team not just in execution, but in planning and presenting a high-level project plan.
- Prioritize and update task schedules; identify issues and resolve roadblocks.
- Create and maintain all project documentation and project plans.
- Track and report project progress to stakeholders on an agreed cadence.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of project management methodology and quality metrics — this is a MUST.
- Exhibit robust people skills — clearly define career growth plans, provide constructive and critical feedback, and promote a collaborative team culture.
- Communicate project-related information such as plans, timelines, and requirements between different teams.
- Identify risks that could delay releases and manage them so that scope, schedule, and quality are not affected.




- Schedule release-readiness reviews before deployment and milestone reviews after each release; create implementation and deployment plans as per the release schedule.
- Provide an exhaustive view of the project status dashboard and plan, and deliver weekly/daily executive status updates.
- Partner with relevant development teams responsible for building the automation tools used to develop and deploy software.
- Schedule release meetings to discuss release schedules with the team and identify roadblocks, if any.
- Maintain documentation related to build-and-release procedures, notification lists, and dependencies.
- Drive improvements in configuration management methodologies and software development practices.

Qualifications

- Minimum of 15+ years of career experience, including at least 8 years in Delivery Management.
- Proven experience developing and executing plans, meeting deadlines, and operating under tight time constraints.
- Growth mindset and strong collaboration skills — key distinguishing factors for success in this role.
- Ability to bridge gaps with high-level stakeholders.
- Experience working with distributed teams across different locations and time zones in a culturally diverse environment.
- Technical and Project Management certifications are desired.
- Understanding of technology landscape & AI.
- Knowledge and experience on AI-led implementations.
- Experience in working with GCC (Global Capability Center) customers.
- P&L; management experience for medium to large accounts (USD 50–100 million range).
