Job Purpose:

The Day Care Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, engaging, and child-friendly environment for children enrolled in the daycare program. The role focuses on ensuring the physical, emotional, social, and developmental well-being of children while maintaining high standards of care, hygiene, safety, and parent communication in alignment with Kidzonia's values and child-centric philosophy.

Key Responsibilities

Child

Care &

- Supervision

- - Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all children under care.

- Supervise children throughout the daycare schedule, including indoor and outdoor activities.

- Provide age-appropriate care and attention to each child.

- Maintain constant vigilance and ensure children are always accounted for.

- Support children in developing independence, confidence, and positive behavior.

Child

Development &

- Learning Activities

- - Plan and conduct engaging activities suitable for children's age and developmental needs.

- Organize storytelling, rhymes, art and craft, games, music, and creative activities.

- Encourage social interaction, communication, and emotional development.

- Support children's cognitive, physical, and language development through play-based learning.

- Observe and identify developmental milestones and areas requiring additional support.

3. Health, Hygiene &

- Safety

- - Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the daycare environment.

- Ensure children follow hygiene practices such as handwashing and cleanliness routines.

- Monitor children's health and promptly report any concerns to the Centre Manager and parents.

- Administer first aid when required as per company guidelines.

- Ensure toys, furniture, and learning materials are safe and age-appropriate.

- Follow all child protection and safeguarding policies.

4. Meal &

- Rest Time Management

- - Assist children during meal and snack times.

- Encourage healthy eating habits and table manners.

- Monitor food consumption and communicate concerns to parents when necessary.

- Supervise nap and rest times to ensure children's comfort and safety.

- Maintain records related to meals, sleep, and daily routines as required.

Care &

- Behaviour Management

- - Provide a caring, supportive, and emotionally secure environment.

- Comfort children during separation anxiety or emotional distress.

- Encourage positive behavior through constructive guidance and reinforcement.

- Address behavioral concerns in a patient and professional manner.

- Foster respect, sharing, cooperation, and teamwork among children.

Parent

Communication

- - Maintain positive and professional relationships with parents.

- Share updates regarding children's daily activities, behavior, meals, and overall well-being.

- Communicate any health, safety, or developmental concerns promptly.

- Support parent meetings and daycare-related discussions as required.

- Ensure confidentiality of all child and family information.

7. Documentation &

- Record Keeping

- - Maintain accurate records related to attendance, meals, nap schedules, incidents, and child observations.

- Prepare daily reports or updates as required by the center.

- Document any accidents, injuries, illnesses, or unusual incidents immediately.

- Maintain records in accordance with organizational policies.

8. Classroom &

- Day Care Environment Management

- - Ensure daycare areas remain clean, organized, and child-friendly.

- Arrange learning materials and play equipment appropriately.

- Maintain inventory of daycare supplies and inform management regarding replenishment needs.

- Create a warm, welcoming, and stimulating setting for children.

9. Compliance &

- Child Protection

- - Adhere to all Kidzonia policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.

- Follow child safeguarding and protection protocols at all times.

- Participate in safety drills, emergency preparedness activities, and training programs.

- Immediately report any safety concerns, incidents, or suspected child welfare issues.

10. Team Collaboration





- - Work closely with Preschool Teachers, Assistant Teachers, Caregivers, and Centre Management.

- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and center events.

- Support center activities, celebrations, and special programs.

- Contribute positively to the overall culture and environment of the center.

Required Qualifications

- - Graduate in any discipline.

- Diploma or Certification in Early Childhood Care &

Education (ECCE), Child Care, Nursery Teacher Training (NTT), Montessori Training, or related field preferred.

Experience

- - 1–3 years of experience in a Day Care, Preschool, School, or Childcare setting.

- Freshers with relevant qualifications and a passion for child care may also be considered.

- Experience handling young children in a structured environment is preferred.
