Azure PostgreSQL is the primary database platform, while Oracle is used as a read-only data source for reporting purposes. The role involves managing database schema design, indexing, performance tuning, and optimization, along with capacity planning, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery activities. The candidate will also be responsible for implementing archival and purge strategies to ensure scalability, security, data integrity, and high availability.
The role includes maintaining centralized reporting databases and data consolidation, as well as supporting Power BI analytics and reporting requirements. Please note that no write operations or database changes will be performed on the Oracle database.
