Position: Database Administrator (DBA - MS SQL)

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA - MS SQL) with strong expertise in MS SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle, AWS RDS, Database Migration Service (DMS), Performance Tuning, and High Availability/Disaster Recovery (HA/DR). The ideal candidate will be responsible for database administration, optimization, migrations, performance management, and ensuring high availability of critical database environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage, monitor, and maintain MS SQL Server databases in production and non-production environments.
- Administer and support Sybase and Oracle database environments.
- Perform database migrations using AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) and other migration tools.
- Implement and manage AWS RDS database solutions.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to improve efficiency.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot HA/DR solutions including Always On Availability Groups, Log Shipping, Replication, and Clustering.
- Conduct database backup, recovery, security, patching, and upgrade activities.




- Analyze and resolve database-related incidents and performance bottlenecks.
- Ensure database security, compliance, and operational best practices.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams for database optimization and deployment.

Required Skills :

- Solid hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
- Experience with Sybase ASE and Oracle Databases.
- Expertise in AWS RDS and cloud-based database administration.
- Hands-on experience with AWS DMS for database migration projects.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Performance Tuning and Query Optimization.
- Experience in implementing and managing High Availability & Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) solutions.
- Knowledge of Backup & Recovery, Replication, Clustering, and Disaster Recovery planning.
- Experience with database monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
- Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, SQL Scripts, or Shell Scripting.

Preferred Skills :

- AWS Cloud certification is an added advantage.
- Experience in database modernization and cloud migration projects.
- Knowledge of DevOps and Infrastructure Automation tools.
